Usually have a good dining experience here at blue dolphin..arrived about 11:00 am for breakfast..only 2 people..another table came in after us of 4 people and was seated and ordered and almost finished eating before our food arrived. The meal was brought out and served in partial orders..one of the biscuits of the biscuits and gravy was cold..and the second order of biscuits and gravy was prepared in the microwave..I was not impressed with this visit at all..as I said our dining experience is usually nice but very disappointing on Sunday morning..5_22-22
A great find in Kalamazoo. The staff is super friendly and the food is plentiful and tasty. So good we had breakfast here twice.Everything we had was great. Check out the pictures as they speak for themselves.
Make sure you check in at the front desk. I came in another door the first time and sat at the bar for fifteen minutes while a couple employees kept walking past. I asked and they said I didn't check in properly. Got the bbq rib dinner with baked potato. I was not impressed. Maybe you will have better luck.
Our server asked if we would like refills on our beverages. I declined a 2nd glass of wine, asked for a refill of water instead. Our server went to the dirty table behind us(the guests just left) and took the water carafe off their table and placed it on ours. Then she said they didn't use it and it's how she was trained by the owners. When we stopped eating our food because it completely grossed us out, she immediately gave excuses. The food equally deserves a 1 star as well. A menu that large means they cook in volume and reheat later and it definitely showed.

The staff was very attentive, friendly, helpful. Their portions are large enough to satisfy any appetite and prices are VERY reasonable.My friends had corned beef and cabbage, I had cabbage soup with sausage. All delicious and served with a soft roll and sweetened butter.
The food was decent although the salad was watery (not drained after rinsing). Service was ok. The place reeked like natural gas so I hope they see this and call the local gas company. Everyone else was sitting and eating normally so it wasn't like a huge leak or anything but my hound dog nose could detect the noxious smell. I regret not mentioning it while there but I seemed to be the only person able to smell it.
