Stopped in on our way home not expecting too much but loving the beer thought why not... loved the entire experience with a very exceptional waitress named Kristina..a lovely person with a wonderful disposition and a credit to her employer... thank you for making our short stop memorable!
What happened to this place???? I think Mr. Bell has extremely rude staff on his hands. I live in Kalamazoo and I’ve been here many, many times. This was the first time I’ve felt not welcome. Our server was a rude young woman. There was about 10 of us at the table. I’m not sure if she felt overwhelmed by us drinking beer and having a good time. We are all nurses and can be a touch rowdy; Nothing this place hasn’t seen before. God forgive us if we’re a bunch in our 50’s and don’t dress as “Cool” as you guys. Please don’t make the mistake of treating us like “Karens” This is how she made us all feel. I thought it would be funny to bring in oranges because the bar was out of oranges. I purchased a bag for the bar and a bag for us. Nope. They wouldn’t take them. No oranges for our Oberon!!!!! You would’ve thought I killed a kitten the way they treated us for having our own oranges. Ok. I get it. It’s a health code violation. I put the oranges in my purse and we all went outside to be away from this rude girl. Next, the manager came out and harassed us for having oranges. Really??? I thought that was done. They were in my purse. Not cool Bells. So many other places to enjoy in the wonderful Zoo.
I danced and danced! Great music, good beer, yummy food. A must do if there’s a show when you’re in town!
We took a road trip to Kalamazoo to go to Bell's Eccentric Cafe, mainly because my husband needed to go to their store to get a gift for a friend. So we made it worth our while and went to the cafe for dinner. My husband had the burger of the week (bacon, jalapenos, cheese, and other things I can't remember). He declared it delicious. I had their house salad with chicken. I'm not a fan of goat cheese, which is one of its ingredients, so I swapped that out for cheddar, and had it with ranch dressing. It was quite yummy. I'm not a beer drinker, so I had water. My husband tried two of their cafe only beers, but I'm not sure which ones, to tell the truth. He liked one, but wasn't a huge fan of the second. But that's part of the fun of going and trying different ones. We had a good dinner and he got the gifts, so it was a fun and successful night out.
We were in town so we decided to stop in to try Oberon fresh from the tab and get some dinner (on a Thursday).Pros:- The staff was very friendly- The food came out very fastCons:- Our food was cold- There were no servers and there was a limit for one beer per person. So going there with a child was extremely difficult and I would not recommend- The Oberon/Two Hearted/Official didn't taste as good as it does bought in the store (but maybe it was the batch)
This used to be one of our favorite places but the last few times service has been very slow and mask mandates while inside are in place (even for vaccinated folks). We will come again and give them another try and update the review when we come again. However, the beer is good and the food is good too. There’s a store next door where you can buy merchandise.
I would definitely come back here because the atmosphere is amazing and the food is also great! The owner took his time to make sure that our stay was comfortable and I really loved their beer selection. This is the place to be and do not miss this!
Absolutely loved this place. The decor is quirky and fun. The service was very good. We had the smash burgers and they were outstanding. The beer is of course good. It is a large high celling place so it was a bit loud but totally worth it. They have a nice little shop as well to get all your Bell's gear and beer to go.
I was here for a concert. The room is pretty solid with good sound. It’s just a rectangle with a flat floor and a short stage, so if you are short and in the back you are going to have some trouble seeing. The upside is that if you are near the front, you are very close to the band. As you might expect, the bar in the venue has a large assortment of Bell’s beer. The prices were all just normal bar prices, which is great (but MI should lower the cost of alcohol by reducing taxes on beer and raising taxes on people making over 250k/year, but that is another story).
My daughter, niece and her husband and me and my husband went here for a quick bite to eat and to visit for awhile. It was Saturday night around 8:30 p.m.We only had to wait a few minutes for a table. The atmosphere was energetic, friendly and welcoming. The staff was great. The waitress was very helpful with our meal choices. My husband got a burger with fries. He said it was very juicy and flavorful. My daughter got chicken tenders with fries. She said it had good flavor. My niece ordered the chicken parm sandwich. She said it was very good. A little messy...lol, but very good. Her husband ordered the tacos. He said they were amazing. They also had a live band playing. The seating opportunities was great. You could sit outside listening to the band while eating and having a great beer. What a great place to go for a fun, relaxing night out.We will definitely return for another amazing meal and a nice evening out with family and friends.Thank you for a great experience. ❤?
