Great food and the only Chinese restaurant where you can get a beer/mixed drink with diner.
Best Chinese food I've had in Jackson. Prices reflect the quality. Most of the food I've had here has been excellent. Only complaint is the one time I had the crispy duck it was dry. Restroom is clean.
One of my favorite's! It is always great food, friendly service and reasonably priced.
Great food, nice atmosphere. Definitely get what you pay for and the service is great. Would recommend the beef fried rice and sizzling rice soup, with hot tea on the side.
Just moved to the area, called in the order and my husband went to get it. Was hoping to find a close place to replace the place we used to go that is now 30 minutes away. Our bill was $99. Portions were TINY, not even quarts of white rice, little pints. Sweet and sour chicken was less than a pints worth for a quart size order. Teryaki chicken was tiny slivers of chicken. We have ALWAYS had leftovers with our family of four and the only reason anything was leftover is because it didn't taste good. This was over-priced and poor quality. Very disappointed, we won't recommend or go back.
Excellent vegetarian selections on the menu. My Mapo Tofu was highly flavorful.

Our experience there last week was one of our worst dining experiences ever and by far the worst ever at Yenking. While we waited over a 1/2 hour for our dinner we watched as nearly a dozen carry outs were taken care of. Alhough we asked for spicy both our dishes were somewhat bland and definitely lacking in meat.
I'm not sure if there was a new or substitute chef. Ordered take out as always. Portions are very large in my opinion. It was enough for two meals. Unfortunately the meal was terrible. Meals were very dry with little flavor. The order was for chicken lo mein. There were no vegetables in it at all. Chicken and noodles. The chicken looked and tasted old. The other meal was garlic chicken. Also, without flavor and dry as well. Considering their history of great meals here we owe them a mulligan. But seriously at $17 per meal, it has to be better than that!!
