Our Waiter was FABULOUS! He was ? awesome. The food was not his fault! As a whole Russ's food & restaurant definitely not like it use to be. Covid has nothing to do with how filthy it was..no excuses!! Disappointed with the portions & sky high pricing especially for what I ordered., I could go on & on. I use to eat at Russ's alot but will not come back again. Ever.
I'm definitely biased since I have so many good memories coming to this Russ' over the years, but the food has always been solid diner-style cuisine. I'm personally a big fan of the soups (namely Broccoli Cheese and Reuban) and the onion rings. One side of the restaurant had a phone system set up for ordering, but I'm not sure if that side is used much these days. Either way, I'm happy that Russ' is still serving the same things I remember growing up.

I eat at RUSS' 2-3 times a week, always asking to sit in my favoritewaitress station. Wish more staff had her smile and personality. Keep it up S.W.
Really good comfort food. But as before, service is not their forte. My soup came out as my sandwich. So sandwich wasn't hot when I got to it.
Food is alright. They seldom get your order correct however and many time out out of items.
Friday night, one side was shut down...I'm guessing due to staffing challenges. We had a moderate wait for a table for 5. Food took a little while to come out, but it was hot and fresh when it arrived. Server Hope was very pleasant and quite attentive. Pretty good overall.
Had breakfast eggs bacon hash browns toast really good except bacon was to well done but over all very good.
Russ' is a nice, quiet place to have dinner. Nothing fancy or deluxe, just good food for the money. I had a huge, tasty salad (Traverse City Cherry Chicken salad) and my daughter had mac & cheese and a soda and we walked out of there paying $20, including gratuity. If you're looking for tasty, simple fare at a good price, Russ' works out just fine.
