Went in to order. Young lady greeted us and asked to take our order, then said "one moment". She then went on to take 6 orders for the drive through. After several minutes we walked out and went to Arby's. So...my husband and son went today for lunch. Someone did wait on them after my husband asked if someone was going to take his offer, or if he should walk out like last time. The guy behind the counter said he was being rude. My husband apologized and told him about our last visit. The guy at the counter said nothing more. We like Popeyes a lot. Just wish they could get more counter help!
I want to say a big “thank you” to Julie and Robert!!! My boyfriend had just worked a 13 hour day in the heat of the sun and wanted Popeyes. The car in front of me was the last car but Robert came out and I told him the situation. I tried to offer him money to take my order but he refused, instead he made sure I could order. I nearly cried. Julie came on to take my order and she was so very kind and helpful. I am so grateful to Popeyes and such a wonderful staff. Even Eliana was courteous as she handled me the food past closing time. Thank you again.
I have been to Popeyes in GR too many times and I have various issues with this one.1. two different orders, two different sides for two people "one spoon"2. With the prices increasing and the sides getting smaller "FILL IT UP!" pleases dont give half of a bowl when the bowls are already small.3. when did the chicken strips become nuggets!! these were nuggets not strips "smdh"4. That texture was it really chicken?? I spit it out and threw it away it did not have chicken texture in any form of cooking, I really dont know what it was. With all that said "I will never eat there again"Something was not right with that meat.
The chicken really is better here and somehow still crispy after being out for a couple of hours. The red beans and rice are amazing, Mac n cheese is good, the biscuits taste metallic to me tho. Still waiting to try the beignets, they always are sold out by the time I get there. This place is always busy and I can see why.
All the food was made in excess waiting in the window. We stood on line inside for over 20 minutes. When the evening manager arrived the orders started getting filled and we were finally able to order. The spicy chicken was rubbery and the facility was dirty and un-stocked. It was my first time ever trying Popeyes and I won't be rushing back anytime soon.
First time trying Popeyes. We were pretty excited based on the TV ads however, this location proved to be a major letdown. Our order was simple but not even remotely correct as we were missing half our items. Sandwiches were dry and bland. There was plenty of staff who seemed friendly but somehow the basics of food service were completely absent.
I'll admit that I'm not a huge fan of Popeyes. Their chicken is okay but not the best. When we came to the restaurant on Feb 21, 2022, they were pretty new. However, the lines were long and slow. The owner/manager only had 3 people that had shown up and they were working as quickly as they could. He kept apologizing and it was understandable to me. I ordered ahead and it took about 20 minutes to get my food after standing in line but it was hot and fresh and correct.
I’ve been to this location several times since they opened and never has my order been correct. Today I waited in another long line, my order was not taken correctly and I received mild tenders not the spicy tenders I ordered. They did not provide silverware even though I ordered mashed potatoes and gravy as my side. My Dr. Pepper was colored soda water, no syrup.I was disappointed to see that all 5 tenders were just over two inches long and very thin. Not typical of Popeyes. So not correct, and wimpy at best. And then…. My last tender had a BITE taken out of it!!! It was clearly bitten a long time prior too as the meat was visually dried. I’m just utterly disgusted.
Chicken was fresh, hot and good flavor. Regular chicken was a bit spicy for my kids. Long wait but good and friendly service.
My advice: Do NOT use the drive thru. Use the app and take-out. The drive thru was an hour during a dead part of the day. The take out was under 5 minutes! The spicy chicken sandwich was good. The cajun fries were soggy, cold, and well seasoned. The red beans and rice was phenomenal! The biscuits were good. The strawberry lemonade was very good!I do not think these heating lamps really do a good job. None of the food tasted fresh.Overall, delicious and overpriced!
