I use to live here briefly but I still have family here and we would come visit every few years. I’ve try many ice cream places but not here until this year. Omg there ice cream flavors are the best!!! We all had different flavour and everything tastes so good, better than Kil…** I had the lavender rose? Amazing! Hubby had the black cherries? And the kids had strawberry and chocolate fudge. Their ice cream is not overly sweet. I highly recommend this place for people with different taste buds bc they have varieties.
Grasshopper sundae was minty and delicious. Mint Oreos in it too. Selection of the store is moderate but sufficient.
Very cute little stop. Has snacks, ice cream, and also little trinkets, souvenirs, etc. Staff was friendly.So happy we stopped
Best place for doughnuts or ice cream if you are camping at Holland State Park. The doughnuts are made fresh and if you get there around 8am they might still be warm. They have both hand-dipped and soft serve ice cream and they know how to make an awesome sundae. It’s a general store so they also have a little of everything inside.
I got their homemade black cherry w/ all kinds of dark chocolate chunky chips!!! ? add the wafflecone for an even better experience.
Super friendly staff. General store is a good name. They had a variety of many items. Prices were comparable to other gift shop locations.

The General Store is Great little store. All kinds of merchandise, old time candy, camping supplies, t-shirts (of course!), fresh donuts every morning, plus an outstanding ice cream shop - a fun place to stop after a day on the beach.
Great ice cream on a hot day! Walking distance from the beach ( 3/4 mile).
Went for ice cream there last night. They have soft serve, Hudsonville, and house made ice creams. I had Salted Carmel with Pretzel pieces, it was very good. They have several picnic tables and lots of benches where you can sit and enjoy your ice cream. We choose to walk a short distance and sit by the channel where we could boat watch.
