For our taste preferences, their Chicago crust was too dry/cracker-like and the pizza not very flavorful. The small was fairly priced and we found it very filling, so those were plusses, but because we didn't enjoy it that much, having a leftovers wasn't as much a plus as usual. We ordered online to take advantage of an online coupon offer which didn't stipulate size or cost, that I recall, but it wouldn't accept it when it came to that part of the order, so that was disappointing. Maybe I just missed it... If you like pizza and enjoy sampling a wife variety of styles, it's worth a try. Maybe the regular crust is really good...don't know.
Just in town for Tulip Time after 7 hours on the road looking for great “vacation” pizza and this did not disappoint! Delicious! They were super busy but we had a lovely outdoor table and not a horrible wait time. Highly recommend
My partner and I had a thin crust pizzia. 14 inch Supreme. Employees very friendly. Rest very clean homey feeling. Pizzia was very good & came out quickly
The food was great!!! We ordered the salad$4 ( chef salad), Just the Crust (breadsticks with cheese) and a Supreme Thin ( more like hand tossed). The salad was fresh and the veggies crisp. The sauce for the breadsticks had a hint of sweetness, which I love. And the pizza was piping hot with fresh ingredients. The waitress was nice as well. So what stopped this from being a 5 star review??? Well a higher up manager/ owner came in to speak with the MOD regarding an incident and how to proceed with handling the situation. They agreed to have papers worked up to prevent them from being on the property… I understand the conversation had to happen, but it should not have taken place in the lobby .
Crust 54 is good pizza! We had a cesar salad, side winders (potato wedges cut much thinner), a deep dish carnivore (meat lovers) pizza & a garden vegetable pizza. My goal in eating out was to have leftovers and that was achieved. Two-thirds of both pizzas were taken home. The cesar salad was excellent! Fresh lettuce, a good portion of dressing, chicken & croutons. We got the hall order of side winders and all though good there were too many. I highly recommend getting the full order. The carnivore deep dish pizza was great! I love their sausage and there was plenty of it, along with pepperoni and ham. I didn't notice much bacon and that was fine. Their sauce is good as well. Excellent pizza overall! I didn't eat any of the garden vegetable pizza but was told it was good.
As a fat kid from Chicago, I take my pizza seriously... This Chicago-style deep dish is as good as any in the city... Sauce is a little bit salty with too much sugar as well... Otherwise it is PERFECT. Excellent dining room, lovely bathrooms. If I didn't live 45miles away, I'd probably eat there every other week.
Crust 54 has the best pizza in town and the friendliest staff. Thanks for always being consistent in serving amazing pizza. We also enjoy stopping in for their salads and Tim wheels. A+
We stopped in for a Chicago deep dish pizza and it was a lot. Very cheesy and tasty. The establishment is very clean and staff was friendly. Overall a good experience.
Some of the best pizza I've ever had, will make the 2+ hour trip for more!!
We have been here before and loved it. We went there today and ordered the smallest deep dish (5in). We waited for over 45 minutes and then we noticed people who came after us started to get their orders. We started to question it, but we also needed to leave. I went up to the counter (mind you front staff is eating food behind the counter) and I told them we needed the order to go because we needed to leave. They then realized the order ticket didn’t print or something so they offered to give us coupons/to go slices or we could wait 25-30mins more for our order. We just got a refund and left. All of this could have been avoided if the front staff has been attentive and realized they had been serving others after us, it was like we were completely invisible to the staff. Probably won’t be back for a while
