Very traditional, we had a great time, we would highly recommend it
Hostesses were very kind and friendly. Sutton was the best. Appreciated her waiting on us outside when everyone else was opting for inside. Sommelier was so helpful in selecting a great bottle of wine for us. And the blue-eyed bartender helped me decide on a great pre-dinner drink as well.

Great place with equally great food. Tye meal came out alittle slow, but enjoyed the no rush service. Wait staff excellent. Butch is always present....nice touch.
I took my two daughters to Butchâs as one of them had a birthday that day. The evening was a total success. We started with a cocktail at the bar and enjoyed watching the bartender in action. We went to our table and had excellent service and a wonderful meal. We will definitely go back the next time we are in Holland!! Superb!
We were 7 minutes early, our table was ready, and we were asked to wait at the bar until our exact time. It is a bit of a strange approach but hey, whatever, it was not a big deal. Wine and spirits selection was outstanding. The service was outstanding and we had a great table location for people watching. The sourdough bread with vegetable butter was wonderful. The Caesar salad was really, really good - lemony, fresh! The walleye was prepared really well; I did not care at all for the hominy. I preferred the roasted potatoes on my partners flank steak option. His flank steak was perfectly done and very flavorful. We did not opt for dessert.
A lot of rules at this restaurant.⦠All the tables are pre-assigned even if you get there at 4:45 pm and the reservation is at 7 oâclock â moronic. Working in food industry you always want to make sure the tables at the window are occupied so it doesnât look like an empty âso-soâ restaurant. Our table ordered cocktails two appetizers, four entrées. However we brought a cake/birthday and charged us upfront $3.50 per person for a âlit candleâ+plate+fork; ALL (4) would have ordered coffee/cordial or even cappuccino â real turn off. Perhaps I could understand if it was a âbig city with a Michelin rated restaurantâ - rather being: a mediocre 1998 decorated venue, sleepy muzak in a decent small town on a one-way street with limited menu. Waitress was accommodating. âï¸âï¸1/2
