The original Vitales had very good basic Italian dishes in a great old restaurant. They closed that a while ago. The current restaurant on Leonard is just another sports bar with just more of the basic sports bar fare. The pizza is ok. The pasta is also ok but limited. The atmosphere is the same sports bar prevalent all over town. Sadly, not even a shadow of its former self.
Omg!!! What a mess! Someone from their which I think was the bartender ( I literally herd him making jokes with a staffer and a guest about Virgin drinks) put something in my Virgin Pina Colada or the food for ordering the " Virgin" drink due to trying to stop drinking....shouldn't be punished for it! Me and my 2 guest are very sick now since and we spent good money!!! Only my second time and will never be back!!!! I'm calling as soon as they open. Sad part I went to school and grew up with this family whom owns this place I'm smh!!! So disgusting I can't even believe people are sick and bored at work too do this to people. I'm calling the BBB as well to report this sick crime and see what else can be done. I hope we dont have to make a visit to ER...so sad this is going on and Covid19 is out here like this shame on this entire company I'm sure! This is not the first time. I feel violated!!!!
We live a block away so this has been our go to spot for the past 5 years. Staff is always amazing. Keep your drinks full, awesome with our kiddo and fast service as well. Mr. Vitale is always on site saying hello and keeping things running smooth :) we've only ever had 1 bad experience here and that on the take-out side and due to lack of communication so thankfully it got resolved fast.Their pizza is hands down the best in GR. No mistake at all coming here for a pizza and beer or a night out with the family :)
Food was excellent however they messed up our checks twice and forgot to put in an appetizer order. We asked for correction on the checks and when they brought the checks back they still weren't correct. Our order wasn't difficult it was two pizzas and two apps split equally between four people. However the food we ate was excellent so this may have been just a bad service experience that may not be repeated for others.
Our server was good but overwhelmed since there were a lot of call ins. My pizza sub was ice cold and everything I touched in there was greasy. Disappointing.
Relaxing and casual place for pizza. A busy spot with a lot of carry out business, but not a problem getting seated for dinner on a Saturday night.
New in town, decided to try what the locals deem the best. Parking was horrible here. Must be a very popular spot. Service was good. No problem. I just didn't like the sweet sauce of the pizza. It was just too sweet. Down the road I'll try again, but not until I get that taste out my head
We ordered a Stromboli and the sports bar sampler, as a take out order. Honestly thankfully the Stromboli was decent size and taste because we threw the sampler away. We live two minutes from the restraunt and when we got home everything was soggy and gross. When I say decent, I mean edible. They didn't include the dipping sauce which was ordered and paid extra for. I emailed as calling the restraunt was no help and I received no response. I used to love vitales and was excited to come back after living in AZ for five years but....no, I'll find somewhere else to spend my money as they seem to care little about customer satisfaction.
I've ordered twice here and the 1st time I didn't get my onion rings. The 2nd time we ordered subs and I clearly said what I wanted and didn't want. They got both of them wrong. Not only that I has to wait because they forgot to do my subs so had to wait 15 minutes.
Totally devastated at the service & quality of this place. My partner called and placed a to go order, and the first thing he asked was do you have chicago deep dish pizza? The man responded they did and so he said he would like to order one with x y z on it.He went to get it and when he got back home he realized it was a regular crust pizza.So he called back to explain and the person on the phone this time said they didn’t charge him for a deep dish. Didn’t offer to fix their error, only offered 20% off the next pizza.Annoyed and hungry we just ate what they gave us.It tastes awful. The pizza sauce is so sweet. The chips we got with our spinach artichoke dip are stale. And the calamari was dry & chewy.We’re severely disappointed. Safe to say we’re not going back to get that 20% off pizza next time.
