This place. First-timer here but I will be back! We received great beverage and food service from Aaron and the live music certainly did not disappoint. There is a lively vibe at this joint and I recommend all to gather the experience I found between these four walls. West side is the best side! By the way, the Aaron, I before-mentioned, was an All-Star behind the bar and nothing short of accommodating and friendly! Go see him, for me!
This bar was a staple of living on the West Side. The food and drinks are top notch, as are all of the staff; really though, my favorite part about this place is that it has become a showcase for local music talent.Tuesdays with Scotty are awesome, and one of the best local/open-mics around for budding songwriters & performers in the area.Thank you so much to the Turnstiles crew for holding it down and creating a safehouse for local music, exceptional sustenance, and good times.
The Bartender was amazing! It’s so nice to have a venue that supports local artists daily. ? The lemon pepper wings were delicious! We can’t wait to come back.
This has easily become one of our favorite restaurants on the West Side. The burgers are flavorful and filling (love the patty melt) and the fries hot and crispy. I honestly think the egg salad sandwich is one of my favorite sandwiches in the city, it's so unique and unexpected! The fried pickles are bomb. This has become a regular in our rotation of places we frequent, its just so good! We're glad to have you in the neighborhood!
Great place. Friendly bartenders. Could be a good neighborhood bar. Great place ro watch a band. Good prices, affordable buzz and good times.
Enjoyed my visit. Band was playing, Jimmy and the Mortals. Food was good. They do take out too and the kitchen was open until 10
We went there for lunch on a Sunday and had a great time. Cool atmosphere with plenty of unique thing on the walls. Great beers on tap, amazing food, prices were good and service was great. They have two pinball machines in the corner so I spent a couple dollars to entertain my two nephews. They are three and seven and the joy on their faces was priceless. We will return
Ate here for the first time, very friendly staff, I forgot our servers name (ope!) tall man, longish black hair, very accommodating.Food came out fast and I had the best fried chicken sandwich and waffle fries since I can remember.Interesting and enjoyable atmosphere and overall experience!
Their food is incredible! The service went above and beyond! The environment is unique, and I love that. I appreciate a place that can make anyone feel comfortable (unless they're someone who would prefer that not everyone feel welcome). I love bars in the city who are warm and friendly to anyone who walks through their door.
Turnstiles is an amazing idea and I hope to give it a 5 star soon enough. My fiancé and I got food from her yesterday. Unfortunately the slowness of the restaurant is what gave them a 4 star. They were not busy and the owner apologized for the time. He said its because they are a new business and still getting used to things. The food was amazing especially the fries and I'm a big fry critic. I will definitely be returning
