Ate here Saturday night. We had to wait 15 minutes to get seated but was worth it. Between the bread platter, the mac and beer cheese and the jalapeno shrimp pasta we left quite satisfied. Server recommended the shrimp as he enjoyed both the daily special and the shrimp but said the shrimp pasta won out. Not sure how the daily tasted but I'd gladly pick the shrimp again. Table next to us got pretzels which were alot bigger than any of us around thought they'd be and met their approval as well. Highly recommend this place.

great food, awesome atmosphere.

Great food! Had a private group seating upstairs in a very eclectic space. Service was friendly and great and the menu had plenty of different taste combinations to try out. we really enjoyed the soup options as well as the Brussel Hussle and the Pimento spread that was part of the Dip Sampler. 8/10 would do again!

We visited the Old Goat after a dance recital. Smelled great walking through the door. Service was very good. The meals were tasty but the sandwiches heavy on the buns and light on the meats. The appetizers, pretzels and nachos, were very tasty. Our son said the food was better the last time he was there. We definitely would try it again.

Lovely place! Great food, enjoyed live music for Sunday brunch! Great place and service!

Was sat at a table and no one came over to us. Only 4 or 5 other tables with people at them. Never even got waters. Left after 15 minutes

Great find in Grand Rapids. We stopped for lunch and had a good experience. I’d like to return for dinner to see if the food is just a little better. Food was good and fresh, but it seemed to be lacking just a little “flavor”” to get the full 5 stars. Their selection of ciders was pretty good though. For our appetizer, we ordered the charcuterie board.

This was my first time to this charming local gem.The decor was eclectic and fun!Menu is diverse and offers options for all. The piano player was a great touch. Our server was engaging and knowledgeable. The food was beyond fabulous! Don't wait....JUST GO!

So, this place is phenomenal. The place is well done with plenty of awesome touches. The service? Excellent. TY Emily F.The food? We didn't have the pretzel, the bread or the goat cheese appetizers, but they looked really good. Like, really good. The pizza was excellent. I had the Rhett Butler sans mustard. What an unfortunate condiment. Regardless, what a great sandwich.

This was my second visit to The Old Goat. We came on Sunday with a group of five (and a high chair) for brunch. We were told it would be about a 45-minute wait, but only waited about 15 minutes for a table, which was nice. We expected a wait, and considered the food well worth it.The service was excellent, and she did a great job managing all the tables upstairs as well as handling the long wait for food, which was a little over an hour after we sat down. $5 bloody marys were decent, unable to be "extra spicy" as requested, but good for the price.$3 for coffee = SO WORTH IT! It is rich, delicious, and excellent! $3 upcharge for fries? Definitely NOT worth it. I didn't order them personally, but the tiny crispy things my companions got were lame. I assume it was due to the long wait for food, but if you're charging $3 extra for fries, they should be pretty darn good. Both agreed they were not worth the extra charge.I ordered the whisky brisket biscuit. I had expected more of a sandwich, but I guess I should have known it was more like biscuits and gravy. The biscuit was MASSIVE, and pretty much out-shined the gravy, which was thick and mildly sweet. The brisket was hard to find in the mix, and the one piece I did find was only ok. Of the two fried eggs, one was over cooked, one was perfect. The ratio of biscuit to gravy and eggs was way off; it is SO massive. It lasted two meals worth of leftovers, but I needed to make my own eggs and sauce to accompany it.The hot sauce I ordered to spice things up a bit was a personal portion and quite good. Wished it had been around for the bloodies!I was able to try two of the sandwiches, the spicy chicken and the grilled cheese. Both were really great, and although I didn't get to taste it personally their take on French toast looked awesome and was supposedly delicious. ? Overall, we had a very nice experience and if we went at a less busy time, I think we would have given the food 5-stars. Will be back.
