Nice staff, super reasonable waits for food etc. Convenient Eastown location and good parking out back. Varied selection re food and drinks, but the food is a bit hit or miss. Great and popular fries, warm goat cheese app was popular at the table. Chicken tenders tended bit overdone. Burgers were pretty disappointing, esp at the price: beyond the char, lacking in flavor (seasoning), and unpalatable frequent connective tissue. At basically 100 for a table of 3, while I would pop in for a drink and an app, I don’t think its a compelling offering on quality versus price.
I loved the avocado toast/sandwich on my first visit 2 years ago. I decided to return to pick up my order as I was hungry (breastfeeding), however I waited a long time for my order, I had no utensils to go, and my food wasn't warm. I ordered simple mac and cheese as I did not want to spend over $15 for a sandwich.The music was much louder than I first experienced, I was able to hear myself talk with a friend then. I am sorry but I won't come back here. I will remember it for the yummy avocado toast/sandwich when I was pregnant.
We have frequented the Green Well since it first opened. Tonight we had best service, hands down, from any of the great service we have had ever! Kate was friendly, kind and efficient. We also had the best meal we have had in years. The Green Well came through, once again!!
Visiting from Chicago and had a delightful lunch experience. Exceptional customer care during a bustling service, and clearly a cohesive team between front of house and kitchen staff. Lauren, our server, was particularly attentive all while tending to several tables and the bar. I was catching up with a relative and we planned to take our time and it was great to not feel rushed in anyway. Food was scrumptious (definitely recommend their burger and the light vanilla cheesecake with oat-crust and blueberries was well worth our taking time to enjoy with coffee - I understand there is a pastry chef who does their desserts). Definitely a place I’d recommend to a friend and hope to visit another time I’m in GR.
Lunch at green well was TOP NOTCH. Food was excellent and cocktails followed suit as well. But the real star was our server Alex. Lunch can be a hard task as a server to perfect timing and keep the energy going but she nailed it. We had a business lunch today and she made sure to check on us at just the right times while giving great service and input when needed. She is a master at her profession and it was honestly impressive to see. She was always at our table but also never at our table. I can’t describe it beyond that, she’s got skills.
Great location, love the area. Inside has a humble elegance to it. Love the bulgogi and curry. Would not recommend anything with pork. It is shredded so fine it has a dense, chewy texture.
Our group had a wide variety of dishes and they were all delicious. We had expected good food, but it was well beyond “good.” The wait staff was very helpful and pleasant.
