My 1st time at this place which used to be a car wash. Our server was friendly.. a variety of drinks on the menu. Food menu was easy to read and follow.. for main course there is 1 sandwich and the rest a few varieties of tacos. I thought this was a Mexican place...but it's not..just tacos. I ordered 2.. they run $5 each and I ordered rice and salad to go with it. As you can see from the pic, my salad they forgot about. They did bring it out,it had onions on it and i ordered no onions. My drink was good.. at $5 a can was pretty pricey..especially when u can buy a 6pk for $9. Prices are up all over sooo ...... rice with green olives in it was very good.. tacos were good.. my food came.out 1st and was about 5 minutes before everyone else's food came out. We ordered also a Virgin Pina colada it tasted ok.. that was about 7.. when we got our bill they do give u a discount when unpay with cash. The decor was nice and seemed trendy.Being pricey and only really having tacos I probably won't come back.. if just tacos is your thing and money is good..it's worth a try
Fantastic food! They were really busy, so I expected a long wait and slow service, but neither were true. Service was great!
Such a fun spot and vibe! Great drinks and the bartenders were so nice! The bar manager, Bryce is awesome! Will be going back very soon! ?
The staff is very new and inexperienced. We had two different servers who had no idea that they were even running happy hour specials. Great vibe, food is ok. Management needs to do a much better job on training their young staff. People won’t want to pay for the overpriced food if the service isn’t good.
Taco Borracho is a FUN time! Love the food, drinks, service and overall vibe. Definitely feels like a bit of Chicago, which I love! It’s a great addition to Michigan Street. For only being open since May, I think they’re doing a phenomenal job. It’s tough during those first few months! All to say- I’ve brought my family here and friends, and all have had a great experience.
Going to Taco Borracho was one step down from a religious experience. The salsa is *chefs kiss*, the tacos were unreal, and the margaritas… I’ll get emotional just typing about them because they were so good. I got the prickly pear margarita & the blood orange, and then for food - the chorizo taco, the al pastor, and then the potato one. The chorizo/fried egg one was hands down the best taco I’ve had in my 26 years of life - so good that I didn’t manage to get a photo of it. The staff were so personable and welcoming, too! Overall, 10/10, ya gotta go here sometime.
Excited to check this place out! I heard through the grapevine that there may have been staffing issues on the opening, cascading into a stressful environment. But like all good businesses, where there is a will, there is a way and I’m sure management will take care of this. I’m still going to give this establishment a chance and I think the reader of this review should, too. The outdoor seating and lighting at night is something to get excited about as you and your family/friends sip from your rocks glass and reminisce. I will provide an update on food and beverages once I indulge. Happy eating!
Good: The service was prompt and the chairs were cozy.Tacos were decent, the frozen house margarita on the other hand was the worst margarita I've ever had. Bottom well tasting. Honestly you're paying for the atmosphere rather than the quality of the food. Nothing special here that makes me want to come back again. And to reply to the owner, yes I do leave good reviews. Probably more than you make drinkable margaritas.
Really great !! Will be back !!
Amazing food will Be back soon! Thks
