I'm going to start out by saying that my first experience with the Grand Rapids Stan's tacos was far from what I wanted or expected. However, the owner contacted me and asked me about my experience. I explained to him why I had given the place a 2 star review and he asked that I give them another shot. He did everything in his power to encourage me to try again and maybe I could change my review in return.That being said, today everything rocked! My husband and I got the grilled burritos one with pico and one without. Both came out perfectly the way ordered. The chips, queso and salsa was amazing. We had nothing but crumbs left. The margarita was on point (a little strong for me as I'm a light weight but that's not Stan's fault ?). The sauce that comes with the grilled burritos is fantastic, just spicy enough.The service was great, the hospitality of Jon was amazing, and everything turned out perfect this next time around. Thank you for the great experience. Thank you for taking my negative review seriously and taking the time to get it right. Not many establishments do that anymore. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Stan’s Tacos has an amazing atmosphere, food, and service. If you’re looking to cure the winter blues, this is the place to come. The GM, John, is so freaking friendly!!! I’ve been here twice, and both times he’s taken my order. He’s answered all of my annoying questions (How are the margaritas? How spicy is the jalapeño margarita? How do we feel about the tacos…). It was pretty subpar. I am only giving it three stars cause the bathrooms were clean and the staff were nice. Would be a great spot if you have lots of kids to feed and entertain before a show at the arena/movie theater.
Nice place! You order at the counter then find your own spot. Margaritas were really good. Chips and salsa were plentiful. Staff was all really nice and helpful. Elote fries needed work. Could have had more of a seasoning and the fries got cold quickly with cold toppings.
Food is very tasteless. Chicken tacos taste like they came out of the can. Expensive for what you get, and completely tasteless. Also you do some weird order at a counter and then seat yourself until your buzzer goes off system when you go pickup your food from a counter. Several workers were standing around, why not serve the customer? Honestly disappointed
Cool and relaxing ambience with delicious food! Great Baja flavors served with beautiful presentation and good sized portions. Margaritas are amazing and 100% recommend. Found my new happy hour Margarita place!!
Amazing food, friendly staff, lots of space. Would recommend this to anyone! Planning to get catering as soon as it's offered as well. The manager is so kind and good at the job. Just wow!
Their dining experience is a bit odd, but they have made improvements. They no longer wander the restaurant hollering ppls names; they have table numbers now. Grab a bag of chips while you're there. They are fabulously priced.If you go when they're not busy, you food will come out hot in 5 mins. Otherwise, it's a 20+ min wait. Great food. This place is great for a fun place to grab a bite while downtown. Imagine if Nicolodian created a restaurant for Spongebob and that's what you'd be walking into. Always playing classics.
Went to Stan's for the first time on Sunday. Got the 3 taco combo and it was DELISH! It's a bit pricey, but I'm willing to fork over the extra cash for some premium quality south of the border entrees on occasion. I will definitely be back. The presentation is great too! Nice work!
I had the Baja bowl and it lacked in flavor, it tasted like nothing. I would not recommend this dish. Also, the “roasted corn” is not roasted. Tasted like it came straight out of a can.I also got a side of chips and salsa. The chips were good but the salsa was not my favorite.
