Great sushi and the best Rangoons!!!
It was an interesting experience at Rockwell this evening… but I just wanted to say that the hostess with the black tank top did a great job. Her coworkers said it was her first night “on her own” and she really impressed me. I really wish more people innately understood customer service like she did.
Probably my favorite of the places we visited in Grand Rapids this week in regards to food/flavor. We had originally selected the location for it's patio but it was closed for the evening when we arrived. The menu isn't huge, definitely I think would fall under pub food with a flair? My husband and I ended up ordering several Appetizers and sushi rolls to split and it was amazing! We had the baked Goat cheese dip, shrimp miso Rangoon, the TNT roll and the dynamite roll. Everything was very flavorful and filling. Our server was wonderful and very attentive. Also, the mixed sangria was so good! Definitely try it out!
This place was highly recommended by a friend. I don’t know what has changed here but the bartender was far from attentive and her attire was not clean. We waited multiple times for being taken care of. It was highly disappointing. The menu which is an iPad is filthy as was the rest of the place. I would find a different venue next time. The hostess totally ignored us and others when we came in. Totally disappointed
There were 5 of us having lunch/brunch before a show at the Civic. I made reservations a few days prior and was glad I did because it was pretty busy on a Sunday around 12:30. The place is pretty cool with and old time look with exposed brick and dark wood. There is an upstairs area as well as an outdoor eating spot but we were in the main area. It was fairly noisy but not so we couldn't have a conversation. The service was prompt and prices average. We ordered off the brunch menu. We got the appetizer miso shrimp rangoons (delicious!) and the spinach bacon dip (average). Most of us ordered the byo burgers, one of the best and biggest we've ever had! So good! Sushi was just so-so. There was also a $5 bloody mary bar but we didn't try it out. Would definitely go back again!
Nice place with good service but the food was expensive and my burger was very dry. I have had a lot of burgers and it's extremely rare that I have a dry one. Still tasted good and the fries were great. My girlfriend got sushi with no complaints.
Everything about this place from the ambience to the customer service to the drinks to the food was superb! If your new in town and want a great experience this is definitely the spot to go to for a great time for great prices!
I love the style they have going on. Gastro pub with an Asian flair. Everything I have had there is delicious and the staff are friendly and helpful. It is definitely one of my favorite restaurants in Grand rapids. I recommend if your looking for something a little different but in a good way and doesn't break the bank. Rockwell is a place to go.
The food was incredibly tasty. The goat cheese dip had so many scrumptious flavors and the naan tacos were divine. My daughter had 3 meals from the stuffed French toast. Yum yum yum.
