Absolutely awful. First there was a bug on my pillow. Then my sister got poked by a wire sticking out of the carpet. And then when I went to rinse off after swimming in the pool, the water came out yellow. I was disgusted. Not to mention that there was mold in some of the rooms too. And the wait at the restaurant is awful. The windows are disgustingly dirty and the rooms are small. I also found somebody’s hair in the bathroom of the room I stayed in. I know it wasn’t mine, or my mom’s, or my sisters since we all have curly hair and the hair I found was straight. 100/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND!
I went to Curry Kitchen with two friends. They had coffee (separate charge), and I did not. When I went to pay my bill, the manager said all three of our buffets were on one bill and she could only separate them into even thirds. So I paid $6 for a coffee I didn't want. Also there is gratuity added by the restaurant, which all of failed to see until we had paid our bills. Therefore the server got over $9 gratuity plus another $3 from me and additional tips from my two friends. The whole thing was misleading, and I have never been to a restaurant that can't rip up a bill and create a new, accurate one. I will never go to this restaurant again.
We checked in late and was able to get a Starbucks coffee... The only redeeming quality. My husband and I went back for breakfast, we were met with having to pay up front $17 per person for a buffet filled with things that were barely edible. I had scrambled eggs, they looked fine, taste rancid they had a sickly sweetness to them. The bacon was soggy, stuck together and sitting in grease. Had what appeared to be a danish... I am not sure what it actually was. Even the fruit was bad, not ripe and hard. The prepackaged individual yogurts were fine. Don't waste your money.
Tasty breakfast with great views of the water and fairly priced. Unexpectedly good eggs and breakfast sandwich with turkey. They let you pay at the register after your meal, so you don’t feel rushed.
Male bartender was great, but the female was one of the rudest people I’ve ever met. She rolled her eyes more times during us ordering drinks than a high school girl fighting with her parents. The guy is the only reason I gave any stars.
Get a bigger menu in bar. One whole space hardly used. Lots of potential. Use it.
I was excited to visit this restaurant, after I had heard it had been totally redone, as well as the hotel. We had a great dinner inside, with good service also. It has a very classy atmosphere, and a wonderful view of the Grand River. It was a perfect evening to sit outside, and enjoy the river with our drinks, after our meal. It has very comfortable chairs, to sit back and relax. We had a wonderful dining experience here, on Labor Day weekend. This place is a gem, and we hope to come back someday, as it is in our neck of the woods.
Great food, fries are top notch! Staff (especially bar tender) was excellent and welcoming! Very clean and quick service
Staff is great. Hotel is very dingy. Windows were gross. Like GROSS dirty. The bathtub had mold in grout and the ceiling had mold.It was way overpriced and very loud. The doors are constantly shutting, so IF you stay there, do not stay within 5 rooms of the ends, or starting at 6 am it will be noisy. The staff is the only reason we give 2 stars. We didn't bother complaining, as it was obvious no one cared enough to clean, what would complaining do?Next time, we'll spend a little more and stay somewhere that isn't as dingy.
Breakfast bar is what you would expect from a hotel breakfast, however surrounding hotels offer better options and at no additional cost to the guest. I ate dinner there as well. The steak soup is great, but I was very disappointed with my sandwich. Glad I had a complimentary coupon for 20% off on dinner because it was unfortunately not worth the price. With such a variety of high quality options in the area, they need to step up their game if they plan on competing.
