We love Olives's, everything we have eaten here has been excellent!
Great to see this little venue in East Grand Rapids near Reeds Lake survived the pandemic. We shared the Quinoa Cakes and Smoked Trout cakes for appetizer. Both were good, preferred the Smoked Trout, although personally would have used a bit more smoke flavor. For main course we both enjoyed the salmon with Broccoli and sautéed leeks. Portions of salmon could have been a bit larger. Service was friendly and pleasant.

The waiters wear no masks. When asked if they were vaccinated, the response was: “that’s a personal question”. Well, to my way of thinking, in this day and age it is NOT a personal question…it’s a health issue. I won’t be back.
I visited with a friend for late lunch. The menu was small but catered for all tastes. We enjoyed a nice craft beer, a good selection, and our meals. The waitress was very friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. We both very much enjoyed our meals and would return.
Olive’s never disappoints. Over the years I’ve mainly stopped in for lunch, especially during their lobster roll season, yum. However, yesterday I stopped in around 4pm. It has a different vibe at dinner time. As my amazing server, Taylor, said “at dinner time it’s like Cheers”. That’s the perfect description. My experience here was great! I hosted a wedding rehearsal dinner and the Chef, EJ, was wonderful and catering to my needs, putting together a delicious menu of my choice. I rented the upstairs and the environment and set up were all perfect and beautiful. Staff was friendly and well accommodating. I would highly recommend Olive's!
