Hood Chinese is always the best. I joke it’s not in a bad location, just another part of GR. Crab Rangoon, check, General Tso chicken, check check. Awesome wonton soup and the dumplings came with a spicy side sauce. The egg rolls were crispy and the rice was fluffy. What else is there? My order was to go but the buffet was all looking fresh. Of the better Chinese places in the greater GR area.
It was food. It wasn't particularly great, and the selection wasn't very good. The service was mediocre at best. It seemed they wanted us to hurry and get food, even though there were only two other customers the whole time we were there. Probably won't go back. Not really worth it.
I was traveling and came because of the 4.1 rating. The exterior of the building had me a little worried, as did the slightly run down interior. But as I walked by the buffet the food looked hot and fresh. It was really delicious!! So much better than chain buffets. The sweet and sour chicken has thin, crisp batter, all the meat and vegetable dishes have great flavor, and the coconut chicken is my new favorite! The pork fried rice had terrific, subtle flavor.
Food was decent but their hygiene was terrible. The bathrooms had mold everywhere and the buffet was a mess. They guilt you into tipping when you get terrible service. Soda is so watered down and a lot of the food was cold! I would NOT recremend. ?????
Such a pleasant surprise and the best Chinese food I've had in GR. I ordered takeout once and was craving it again for lunch today. Both times the food was so much better than I was expecting. The buffet was clean and i appreciate that they take covid precautions seriously. The staff was friendly. My new Chinese go-to!
Food was good but the place was not. There has been no attention to repair equipment or facility. Quite expensive.
This used to be one of my favorite places. Unfortunately my family & I were extremely disappointed. We looked at the menu online then went to order some takeout. The gentleman that took the order said the online prices are old. Then he used the menu on the counter, which had the same online prices. I brought it to his attention and again he said "oh those prices are old". My son noticed a sign that stated free items when you spent different amounts of money AGAIN we were told "oh those prices are old". The food wasn't worth the money either. Big lesson learned on this one!! Added the pic of the "free" items..they said they were taking it down as we were leaving. Buyer Beware at this restaurant!

Skimpy selections. Often times - many empty bins. The food is not bad though. No fountain drinks and if you want a water or tea refill, you'll probably have to go looking for it. Not one of the best area buffets.
Great small Chinese buffet. Restaurant wasn't crowded and it was extremely well priced. Great food overall and plan on going back
