Food was delicious! Displayed lovely on the plate! Waitstaff was pleasant and very attentive. Very nice decor on the inside!
Everything we had was amazing! Even down to the octopus! I’ve had octopus at many different restaurants and this place makes it soooo good! We had the corn soup, the octopus, shrimp and mussel pasta, the wagyu beef, strawberry shortcake dessert and also the sticky toffee cake dessert (we ordered a second round of this one because it was so freaking good!!) and the housemade pineapple ice cream. This place rocks! Will definitely be coming back!
We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary with all our children and grandchildren, a total of 15 people, at Linear last Saturday evening. We ranged in age from adults to teens all the way to a 3 year old and 8 month old. We cannot say enough about the wonderful way Linear helped us with our celebration. Manager Jill was kind and accommodating when we began to plan a few months prior to our event. Our waitress Jeanne headed up an outstanding crew of those who served us. Every person in our party spoke highly of the excellent food they’d ordered, and the unexpected champagne toast was a great surprise. We highly recommend this marvelous restaurant!

This place was recommended to me by bartender at Blue Dog Tavern. Just down the street from hotel where I was staying and an easy, nice walk along the river. Ate at the bar and the bartender was extremely friendly and helpful. The Ceasar salad, Jerk Chicken dinner, and salted caramel homemade ice cream were all excellent. Sitting out by the water would have been a bonus, but traveling alone I like to sit at bar and chat with bartenders whenever possible. Can't see anyone not enjoying their meal at this fine establishment.
I still remember my first time as if it were yesterday! The most relaxed and as I must say, simple but fine dining. I highly recommend Linear. The atmosphere was great and perfectly balanced. Music choice is unique compared to most restaurants in the Grand Rapids area. Although not too upbeat/loud and not to quiet. Personally, Brussel sprouts are my favorite hors d'oeuvres by a landslide! Every bite was the perfect crunch paired with a warmth of savory glaze. The main entree was the Wagyu Flank Steak and the perfect bite does exist. Finally to wrap the night up, the S'mores Trifle! This is by far one of my wife and I's favorite Grand Rapids date night restaurants. The food feels very elevated with a farm to table vibe but slight twists on classic menu options or the perfect extra ingredient. We went for both lunch and dinner and enjoyed the menu each time. Inside the location feels very clean and alcove with plants everywhere. It is also right next to the park and river so in good weather their outside seating is amazing. Definitely worth a visit!!
This is a great addition to Grand Rapids dining. It is a real foodie place, with different and interesting items on the menu. They also have a weekend brunch. I thought I was pretty knowledgeable about wine, but they introduced me to a French white wine I was not familiar with (Picpoul), which has now become one of my favorites. They also have a nice location on the river.
I had a GREAT dinner at Linear this evening with a few friends. I loved the environment, the service, the food and the drinks. The variety per course was vast, the cocktails were affordable while being delicious and I HIGHLY recommend the scallops. We loved the cheese board to snack on between three individuals. We had the GM recommend one of the features that I would definitely get again. Will be coming back the next time I’m in Grand Rapids.
