I had really high expectations coming here. We had already eaten, so we didn't order food. The food that I saw near us looked okay, but nothing extravagant. The jazz was nice - it really creates a vibe. The only seating that was available when we got there, was at the bar. Honestly, if it's a jazz night and you are trying to focus on that, I would suggest not sitting at the bar. It was very "busy" and distracting sitting there - just not as enjoyable. The service was pretty good. It was packed that night, so I understand a longer wait time to order and get drinks. The menu was not that easy to navigate, honestly. But the wines that we had were okay. Their wine pouring system is neat - I've never seen that before. This seemed to be a Black-owned business, with only Black staff.I probably won't go back, since there are multiple wine bars in town.

Wonderfully unique and sophisticated addition to downtown GR.

great atmosphere ...locally own ...excellent food ..

Grand Rapids’ best kept secret. The live jazz will teleport you to a NYC-like club. Their small plates are tasty and elegant just like the decor. Definitely my favorite place in downtown hands down.

Came here as a treat on my husband’s birthday. The service was top notch & the wine was delicious. The Danny Richardson Trio gave a stellar performance that my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed. Everyone should experience GRnoir at least once!

We made our reservation a month in advance, so my friends and I were super excited to finally get to go. We loved the atmosphere and pleased that they allowed us to sit in the area that would normally need to be reserved, since it was nearing then end of the night. The staff were cordial but not super friendly. We were informed, after already being there for a half an hour, that there was a $10 per person cover charge for the band, which we thought was a little odd that we were not told upon entering. When we received our bill, we were shocked to discover they had charged us a $20 per bottle "corking" fee, which we were also not informed of when ordering the bottles. Normally, a corking fee is charged when bringing in your own bottles, which was not the case. We bought 2 of theirs. Due to the unexpected fees, I am giving 3 stars.

Absolutely loved it. Great wine, attentive staff happy to educate a non wine person, great small.plates (loved the bruschetta and Brussels sprouts. Caught a fine jazz group as well and enjoyed it all. Will be back! Suggest reservations.

Love the vibes here! I tried the Black Magic wine flight and enjoyed every one of the tastings. From the menu we sampled the Brussel Sprouts and the Chicken & Waffles - both were fantastic! Be sure to make a reservation a few days ahead of time if you want to catch the live music!

Nice location! Well put together on the inside. I was very excited to support a locally owned business I’ve heard very good reviews from. Sad to say I was very disappointment with the service we received, when greeted at the front door the woman had a straight face which was not inviting at all. We did not expect that, she showed us to our seats and quickly walked off with no introduction. The waitress was very pleasant however messed up our order. When trying to fix it we asked for the manager, who we found out was also the woman that greeted us at the front door. She was somewhat aggressive and short with the situation. As we continued to observe throughout the night, we noticed she was picking and choosing which tables to stop and give proper customer service to, and ours was not one of them. Definitely disappointing and will not be going back.

So, after Covid-19 in 2019 I finally visited in person (The first round of pics during covid). After visiting the live music and getting a flight ( pics 4&5)… it’s definitely a favorite! Very intimate setting. Especially if you’re trying to Bruno Mars or Brian McKnight her ?!
