Totally not trying to work as a market store. Some items horribly overpriced. Wasted floorspace that could cater to apartments on medical mile. High staff turnover since they reduced hours. No checkout space.
The Deli's Pico de Gallo, popcorn, restaurant sized spices are nice little gems of this store. Be warned though, out dates/expired products are not uncommon.
Very nice clean store. Good variety of items. Most are In larger packages so not as convenient for smaller families, but you can always repackage. I like the deli part where I can purchase the exact amount that I want. Quality fruits and vegetables. Sometimes I’m puzzled by the checkout lines, today two lines were open with no one at the register, and someone checking people out in the line that said closed. Two people were standing in the back watching ?. There was a line of 4 people waiting.
Why don't they take bottles back? I have been buying Sparkling Ice for months from this store but whenever my son takes bottles back, they won't take them. I called the store and talked to someone I assumed was the manager and asked him if they take bottles back. He told me, "Absolutely." They don't, at least not from me. Why do they charge deposit when they don't want to take the bottles back? I'm not sure I'm going to buy drinks from this store anymore.
After shopping I realized the sign on the door said mask required. Im very sorry for not complying. I was unaware until I left. I shop every Saturday. Sign was not there last week or previous. However, if thats the case- please take down your self serve salad bar! Not sure how that can not be considered hazardous?

Not sure if I visited on an off day, but i was underwhelmed by this place. I will say it is in a convenient area with plenty of parking in the back. The prices, however, were very high. I’m talking a 50% mark up on things like mac & cheese, a wheel of brie cheese, even pasta sauce. I would expect this from places like Martha’s, but even Bridge Street market has better prices. I did not see the guacamole Bar that everyone was talking about, they did have a salad bar and prepackaged guacamole. I also noticed that the selection of packaged meat was scarce, and all they had behind their fresh counter was seafood. They did have crab legs & many premade sides but again the price was ridiculous. There was not any chicken or cuts of beef behind the poultry counter. They also do not sell any alcohol, there is a liquor store next-door but I thought they would have bulk wine. I probably won’t return
The deli items taste like play-doh. I picked up some pasta, burger patties and other assorted items for a family get together - the food was inedible. I will NEVER return to the Gordon Food Service Store.
Generally good. Few employees wearing a mask over their nose, lots of chin masking.
This is the best all around professional deli in the area
