We went here because the restaurant that we had planned for was closed. It was a better choice. The biggest problem we had was that the menu was so large and everything on every table looked amazing! I need to go here more often to get a better idea of the various regions of China and the type of food from each. Our fare was delicious and more than enough. The vegetables were cooked to perfection. Our servers were excellent and the restaurant clean. The atmosphere is definitely Asian and represents typical. As I said we will be back here.
I make the drive from the NE edge of Rockford for the Golden Wok Sesame Chicken. Very good!!! I think everything here is just really good!The Chinese place in Marcell Drive in Rockford isn't bad but part of the change to Golden Wok is because they're honest and consistent with the price of your order.Keep up the great work!The young lady on the phone/register last night is the highest caliber of talent! She's VERY good at her job and couldn't be a better Frontline face representing your business! So nice, so friendly! An above and beyond worker you don't find much these days! Very impressive! It looks like this is our favorite takeout spot! The food was so good that I ate the leftovers for breakfast!! Maybe not my greatest judgement of nutrition so early in the day but I couldn't help myself. It's so tasty!! Thank you, Golden Wok! We'll keep coming back!!!
Ive eaten here a couple times in person with okay service . This time I ordered online and my girlfriend picked up the food. I had a couple variations of the orders. When my gf went to pick up the order they had given us hunan chicken instead of beef, no big deal. The younger waitress was going to have it fixed. The older female waitress came out and told my gf that I ordered it incorrectly. I am 100% that I ordered correctly because I was reading it from a text, but either way this older waitress was rude, stated I ordered incorrectly, and that it was already bagged up......as if we have to deal with it. After a little more discussion they decided to remake it. This older waitress is unpleasant and not very customer friendly. We will not be going back anytime soon. Food is decent would be better if the waitress was more pleasant and instead of accusing me of ordering incorrectly and acting like I am stuck with the order, just fixed our order. They left a bad taste in my mouth and it's not from the food.
Everything was okay, but nothing stood out. Prices were a bit high, service was a bit slow, and the experience was a bit forgettable.
We go here often but we ended up there on Christmas day because we didn't have any plans. The food was awesome!! Thank you

This place was a significant disappointment. Dishes were just mounds of the same item. They were unwilling to do simple things such as add a side of vegetables. It was very expensive for the quality and quantity of food I received. The biggest take away is when a vegetarian in the party reported she was vegetarian and asked to order egg drop soup. When the dish was brought out to her it had shrimp in her soup. For her meal she asked if the dish was vegetarian they said yes. When it arrived there was what looked like strips of pulled pork in it. The waitress repeatedly informed us that was just how the dishes comes and there was nothing to be done to change it. Needlessly to say they did not correct either of the dishes.
Very good Chinese BIG portions. Fresh and tasty with good options. Workers were very nice and courteous! We will be back :)
Went for lunch once, and it was decent. Decided to go there for dinner and was very disappointed. The food was overpriced, mediocre, and lackluster to say the least, and I felt like the server was very curt and short with her responses. Had an appetizer combo, an entree, and two Cokes and spent $50. Do not recommend.
