The Love Boat for Two is delicious! Service was great, what a way to celebrate my wife's birthday!Always have a great experience here so we came back for another family members birthday. It was their first time there, and the loved it. Service was great and food was delicious!
Came here last weekend with a couple friends while visiting Grand Rapids to just crab a little bite to eat and I'm so glad we did. The sushi was amazing and decently priced. Would definitely come back here again.
Omg it was fun and boy it was busy! Our server was so cool especially with dispensing the saki lol. There were people of all ages there so I heavily recommend this place!
Had a lovely dining experience with my family. The service was friendly and the food was really good. We went on a weekend so it was very busy so be sure to check wait times before you go. We had a nice meal and the hibachi experience was great fun for our kids. Bobby our chef was super great and made everyone feel special.
It was amazing as always my girlfriend and I go and get sushi every once in awhile for date night and we love it the only complaint is that the pop taste funny it's got some weird flavoring or aftertaste
My first time trying sushi went very well, thanks to the Fuji Yama staff. The presentation was great. The staff was helpful and understanding when I couldn’t contain my facial expressions when trying something new. I can’t say I’m a fan of sushi yet but I will be back to try something else.
I have always loved this restaurant, but today they made me a life long customer. Usually when I order takeout, I use their website. I do it so often, I was on auto pilot today when I ordered and clicked the wrong button. When I went to pickup, the lady read my receipt and we realized what I did. She immediately asked the kitchen staff to make what I intended to order. She was so nice! The food is also always on point, yummy and fresh!!
nice environment, excellent food, service was disappointing. she brought our dinner out, no forks. waited for 15 minutes, she never come back, I had to go out and asked for it.
Somehow our 10 top hibachi table was never noticed by staff until half an hour into our seated experience without being greeted that we got up to leave. (This was after waiting an additional 30 minutes past our reservation time to be seated.) At that point someone came over and hurriedly took our order saying something about how she didn’t know we were there. Brought drinks, salads, soups about another half hour later. Waited for what seemed like ages for our hibachi chef to cook for us. By the time he got there no one in either group at the table was in the mood for the show. It fell completely flat. Waitress kept refilling our waters with watered down Sprite and then having to get new waters which were again watered down sprite. Food was mediocre and once the $200 bill came I fully regret not leaving when we sat for 30 minutes without any service or acknowledgement. I understand that sometime mistakes are made, it’s the fact that nothing was done to remedy it. No apology, comp, or manager. There are other options in GR - I strongly encourage skip this one and go somewhere else.
Absolutely terrible from the minute we arrived. Had 3 of us they said they wouldn't seat us for hibachi until 7 we got there at 6 so no big deal then she said only if the group of 7 at 7 shows up will you be able to be seated also not a big deal Friday night and understand. Well the other party arrived early we weren't actually seated until 7:30 once seated all 10 of us sat for 45 min before a sever even acknowledged us and thay was only because the party of 7 was getting up to leave so she ran over and said no one told her there was a hibachi table. Like um excuse me you see how busy this place is it's booked so they sat back down and we did too and then after she took all of our orders at once she didn't come back again for another 45 min to give us waters.... finally arou d 9 we got salads and drinks. Salad was ok soup was terrible. Lemongrass marg was all sugar and very bad the chef came out with not enough veggies or noodles so everyone got shorted on that and the food was ok at best except the egg rolls those are from gordons and are absolutely terrible. We were offered kothing but a large bill and crap service and terrible to mediocre food at best. Have been going to different places in town for years and now I k ow why. Stick to any of their competitors and you will be much happier. Stay far away from here
