We were visiting the area from out of town and were looking for an fair priced filling meal for a lunch. We did a quick search for Mexican food near where we were, and boy, are we glad this came up! We cannot recommend it enough! Everything was delicious and the two folks who served us were very attentive, polite, and accommodating for our two babies with us. Our only disappointment was that there wasn’t white cheese dip on the menu, but I’ve found that is less common in the area. I had the enchiladas with their mole sauce and it was buttery, nutty, chocolately, and just the hint of heat. Highly recommend!
This was my first time trying this place out.Long story short... it was prompt service, and good food. They even had Jarritos soda pop. That stuff is good, and uses real sugar, and comes in a glass bottle. (Which is the best way to enjoy soda pop, in my opinion). All in all, I can't find any fault with anything during my visit. So, I see no reason not to give the full 5 stars.
Hands down, the best authentic Mexican food in town. Our family has been wanting to eat here for a long time. We finally had the opportunity to eat here and it is our absolute favorite. Everyone likes it so much that we have returned once a week for the last month straight. Taco Tuesday? Tostada Thursday? Head to El Granjero! To go menu or dine in. Very friendly staff and super easy to understand menu. Have tried something different each time, and have liked everything. Great prices too. Very affordable. You will not be disappointed.
We ordered a few tacos to go. They took longer than expected (about 20 minutes) but the Al Pastor tacos were well worth it. They also have Vegan and Gluten Free options. The staff here were very friendly. I plan to be back to try more of the menu.
Always my favorite Grand Rapids spot to grab Tortas and Guac. Lived on the East Coast for almost a decade and couldn't find anywhere in DC that compared!!
They were able to cater a large order for Consumers CU and still take care of guests. All the members were emailing how great the meals were. A must try in the area.
My friends and I love this little restaurant. The food is always delicious and very filling. Usually I get the lunch special with quesadillas (you get to choose your protein, and I typically get one chicken and one steak 'cause they're both so good). Today I had one of my other favorites, their nachos. Again, you get to choose your protein and I prefer the old standby of ground beef. I have to say that in addition to being very tasty, they are also the prettiest nachos I've ever eaten.
They had good quality chorizo, and the staff was very friendly. Unfortunately the reviews provided more hype than they could deliver - chimichanga, gordita, elote (which came in a bowl and was bagged corn) were all very disappointing. The chorizo quesidilla was the only item we truly enjoyed. We won't be returning, but wish the business the best of luck.
If you’re looking for some authentic Mexican food with a mom and pops vibe, this is your spot. They even sell some Mexican candies and “I AM WEST SIDE” shirts that give back to the west Grand Rapids community. The service and food were great. Will be back. Highly recommended!
Absolutely delicious! Normally I don't get Tortas when I go to a Mexican restaurant but I got one here and it was the best one I've ever had!
