We visited this restaurant today(06/20/22) from a long trip. We were hungry so we ordered 10 mins before we arrived as the restaurant's kitchen was about to close. Paula was the receptionist/attender who took our order on the phone. She was so polite and patient in getting our order. After we sat at the table, she instantly bought all the ordered food to the table. There was one Chicken Biriyani yet to arrive. She told she was working on it. Later we heard the bell sound from the kitchen when she was attending another customer. It was from chef Mr. Sunny. She went to the kitchen after addressing the customer. In the kitchen, Sunny started yelling at her as she didn't come there to take the food. She was explaining that she was the only one attending the customers. Also, he didn't make the chicken biriyani that we were waiting for. He argued that he made the food correctly for the order he got and further said the kitchen is closed and he had to leave. Ms. Paula was trying to explain that he did wrong but he was arguing that he was right and he left the kitchen.Later somehow we got our chicken biriyani. We didn't like the chef's attitude towards the attender. He thinks that he's the boss of the restaurant. Such attitude can't be tolerated. Which will weaken the customer affinity towards this restaurant. The food was below average. They should improve better.Place was ambient and organized. Owner should hire chefs with good attitude and better cooking skills.Hope Mr. Owner sees this. Good luck!
I ordered take out here as I was craving Indian food. For 3 people the food cost over $20 a person for basic items. They told me it would take 40 minutes, but I arrived and was told to wait longer. When I went to pay they added a mandatory gratuity, even though I was getting take out and had no server. Over priced and slow. We'll find a better option next time.
The food was excellent with a nice variety of dishes to choose from. ? Comfy atmosphere and a nice view of the river. Would highly recommend this for the lunch buffet.
We went for a buffet..The food is good..value for money...But one star less since no biriyani in the lunch buffet...for non- veg only chicken is available in buffet no mutton or fish or prawn..
The lunch was okay. Not great but not bad. I'm not sure there was a single fresh thing on the lunch menu. I doubt I'd go back because it was just mediocre. Staff was nice but they seemed tired and unhappy.Honestly, there are better Indian restaurants in town. This used to be a great place for Indian food. I'm sad to say that this isn't that anymore.
The buffet was edible but just barely. Some of the blandest Indian food I've tasted.
Went in late on a Saturday. Service was good, food was excellent. Slightly pricey, you get what you pay for, very high quality. Expectations were met, left satisfied. Will be returning for lunch buffet. Thanks.
Used to go to their Fulton St location. Went to the Ann location today and had the buffet. It was very, very good! So glad to have this in my neighborhood!
Great food. Asked for it spicy and got it. Don't understand how something can be over spiced. I would say well spiced because it is Indian food and should have a good amount of spice it isn't mashed potatoes. Ate here again got their buffet was pretty good. Right in the river
Great atmosphere and delicious food. Enjoyed the buffet.
