We picked up our usual order of carry out lunch. This used to be one of our favorite family restaurants. We got our food home and it was non edible. We opened our boxes: The rice was old and soggy. The sauces had color but no flavor. The vegetables were overdone and limp. The baked buns we bought in addition that used to be filled with a coconut paste were now filled with whipped fat…it tasted like unsweetened whipped Crisco. We got back into the car & returned our order for the very first time. New owner (so that’s what went wrong?) was explosively shouting and unhelpful. We think we got our $32+ back on our card but who knows? I am sure we are not the only unhappy former customers. We will never go back.
Great food, fast service, the guy threw in a couple hot dogs baked in a soft bread, pretty cool, highly recommend.

This was our first time ordering. The portion size is good but we both found shells left on our shrimp. One dish has a little bit of a fishy taste. The rest of it was good. If we give this location another chance we probably won't order shrimp again.
After bad food twice from blue ginger....30.00 for garbage .. I decided to try China City.....after 2 successful take out ordersCooked perfect...generous servings...i decided to go all the time.....go there i promise you will love it!!!!?????????
There was a time when I would have ranked this among the best Chinese take-out in GR. Sadly their quality has declined dramatically over my last couple visits. The chicken in General Tso’s was consistently chewy and had an old taste. Breading was lacking flavor and crispness. Noodles in the Lo-mein similarly taste like they could be days old. Disappointed because I appreciated supporting this local restaurant, but will now avoid China City unless they can return to their original quality.
Lovely bakery items! We enjoyed the buns (still warm!) and the almond cookies (fantastic!). Everything is prepared fresh onsite with an expert hand. Looking forward to returning for egg tarts! Thank you for these delicious treats.

Although the main dish is edible, not impressive much, I LOVE their sweets (especially their almond cookies) and bánh bao xá xíu.
