Fish and chicken here are the best your going to get. It's fried food done right and that's that. Food usually takes 15 in to get but it's hot and awesome.
I'm 42 years old I went to Job corps in Grand rapids right down the street from the chicken coop. Best chicken I've ever had I'm currently a truck driver and guess where I'm going for lunch tomorrow I'm pulling up!! I went to Job corps in 1996
We've been coming here for about 15 years. Most times the fried chicken is delicious and tasty. The fries are also good. Every now and then you can tell the grease needed to be swapped out. But all and all, good chicken for the price. No dine in, just carry out. Some people mention the location and state they don't go at certain times of the day. We have never had any issues and never seen any altercations or goings on in or near the restaurant.

The chicken and the rest of the menu are very reasonably priced. Everything thing served nice and hot. Located right off Division St in Grand Rapids, Michigan.Years ago this place was not the cleanest nor did they greet you with a smile. What I can say now is that the management has done a great job of making this business friendly and the place is very well maintained.
Cannot recommend this place enough. Kicking myself for waiting until just week to finally try it. Chicken tenders and the cat fish were amazing! Mac n cheese bites and fried pickles was just icing on the cake. Definitely ordering again!Edit: Ordered again less than a week later lol (it’s that good!)
I feel like they there just to make money. Really not caring the food , or how talk to customer
Had a bad experience here in tje past but, the new owners are phenomenal and have made this establishment 1000% better. Love the food and the service. Great place to pick up lunch!!!!
Cheap and not the greatest at all. However if you have been drinking you wouldn't notice the difference until the next day. ?
Years ago when I worked on that end of town. I would go there for lunch and it was wonderful! Memories have a way of fooling you but not this time. We went back recently and tried it out again and it's just as good if not better than my golden memories.
