It was way too dark in there and even though it was pretty empty we still waited quite a while to get our food. The menu was very very limited and didn't have many choices. ? I got the chicken strips and they were way too done dry and hard even with mine taken off the bill was still about 35 dollars my dad got a salad and my sister got the chicken sandwich
Absolutely THE WORST customer service I've ever experienced. We had a group of 10 people, we called to make a reservation and were told it's first come first serve. When we got there we were first no one else. Was told about 40 minutes. We waited, and waited. As we waited about 20 other groups of people ranging from 2 guests up to 8 guests were seated before us! We said something 3 separate times about this and was told "oh there is no room! You just have to wait." Never again! Waited over an hour.
Not busy. Steak was cooked medium instead of medium rare. Didn't get rolls had to ask for them. Had to ask for salt and pepper twice. Had to ask for refills and 3.19 for pop that is at least a 300% mark up. Really disappointed.
My husband and his crew tried going in for lunch there was a total of five of us total. The sign said seat yourself so he asked would it be ok if we sit over here? (In the other dinning area as there was no more seating ) The waitress/bartender acted rude and like it was such an inconvenience for him asking her that question. She said no we’re understaffed so we’re not opening that area. So we turned around walked away and as we were waiting for the rest of the crew to arrive another group of people who were having a meeting with 6people asked if there is a wait. We informed them what had happened and we all walked out. I can understand being frustrated from being understaffed but it’s not the customers fault and if you’re a running business you shouldn’t be turning down customers because you don’t want to open another seating area understaffed or not. Not only is the business losing money turning away customers also that’s more money from waitress pockets.
I gave four stars because my food was ok but not anything I would order again. My chicken was way over cooked, dry, and cold when I received it. It was also tremendously under seasoned. The sweet potato was delicious, though! My husband enjoyed his steak dinner. The service receives 5 stars! Our service was excellent!
After reading some of the previous reviews I was hesitant to try this restaurant, yet decided to try anyway, and I am glad that I did.. The waitress was amazing friendly and attentive. I ordered the 8 oz steak with the garlic shrimp with the green salad and buttered broccoli as sides. I requested my steak medium well. The salad was very large. When my order arrived I checked the steak. The steak was uneven in thickness in all fairness to the cook, so the thinner portion was perfect but the thicker side under done. We simply cut the steak in half, sending back the under cooked portion which allowed me to begin my meal. When the other portion arrived the steak was done perfectly. The broccoli was a bit too tough for my taste yet was flavorful nonetheless. I ordered the vanilla bean cheesecake for desert, with the strawberry sauce. The strawberry reduction was amazing thick and bursting with flavor.. the cheesecake was yummy with just a hint of the vanilla. Def would recommend this place.
My steak was pretty okay. My mom's 1st steak had to be sent back because it was so tough (it happenes) and then the second sent back again because it was extremely undercooked for how she ordered it. Our server was great though. It's been awhile since I've been to Brann's and truthfully I was expecting a lot more. It will probably be awhile until I'm back.
Definitely doesn't follow the standards of the other Brans. Wings are not the same, came with wrong sauce, steaks were cold and over cooked, salads were missed, and other sides were incorrect. Our waitress was very sweet, overworked and certainly trying!
Came here for a late lunch after flying into the Grand Rapids airport. I had the hamburger with fries and it was fabulous. It was definitely in my top 5 burgers I've ever had and I have eaten many a burger. Service was somewhat slow but friendly.
This place is still the best for steaks! I'm from Kalamazoo and ours closed way before the pandemic hit. Our first waitress was an absolite sweetheart, fast and efficient! I've been there twice so far, my Trash Can was on point, and the second waitress was also fast, friendly, and efficient...she reminded me of a young Jodi Foster (she's only 18 and had no clue as to who she was lol) she promised to watch some of her movies so we could discuss them on our next visit! Overall very pleased
