I have been going to this establishment (Kentwood location) for over 3 years. I took some time off over the winter and came back this Spring. During the time I was away, management changed hands. Since the new management, I have visited 3 times and I have to say your quality of bagels are subpar and grocery Lender bagels are far better than yours. What happened??? Your bagels are dry, tasteless and lacks texture and substance. I came in today and a bought a few of them....and couldn't finish eating one, it was bland and dry. I had to throw away the remaining bagels. The other locations have much better bagels. Go back to the old recipes and quality. Your staff are nice and attentive, but I will not be returning for a while...perhaps sometime later when you improve your bagels.
I don’t understand why they don’t make enough bagels to meet demand. Each time I visit GR, I try to order the cheddar twist bagel and they are sold out. If you have a consistent demand for a popular bagel, why aren’t you making enough to meet the demand? You shouldn’t be sold out within a couple of hours of the business opening.
I’m getting so frustrated with this place. We’ve been going here for years and the last 6-7 times we’ve been here our order has been wrong. It’s like a running joke at this point like what do you want vs what you actually get. It’s ridiculous. There are new owners and I’ve even told them how our order is wrong Every. Single. Time. I’m a local business owner myself, after one complaint we’d try to fix an issue like this. I don’t understand how every single time they literally forget something as simple as cream cheese on my bagel.
I love to stop here on my days off after dropping my kids off from school. Food is always great. It appears they have two separate groups of people that work there. One group is always friendly and expedient and greet you with a smile. While the other group it feels like you are bothering them by placing an order. I get excited every time the former group is there and greets me when I come in versus the time I grin and bear when it is the latter group.
One of my favorite places to get my favorite bagel from when in the mood for one! I always feel bad that they is always only two people working but they do amazing job getting all the orders done! You have to be patient and wait for your order!

So I work a couple stores down at The Tobacco Shoppe and I went in this morning to get some breakfast but the manager (I’m assuming) was extremely rude in my opinion. I was running a little late for work so I kindly asked if they could walk my order down (not even a minute walk) since they’ve done it before and confirmed if I needed them to do it again, they would with no problem. Instead, the employee thought it was necessary to have a attitude and tell me “next time get here earlier and you have to pay for delivery next time because the only reason we brought it last time was because I allowed them to”. She then proceeded to tell me that one of her employees would run my drink down to me but of course, she comes in instead and tries to argue with me (mind you, I’m being respectful the whole time, speaking to her in a calmly manner and everything) trying to tell me that I’m wrong and I won’t listen to her but kept cutting me off every time I would try to say something. I was honestly having a great day until my encounter with this very rude and disrespectful female. Even the other employees could sense her attitude I believe. I felt very disrespected and disappointed with the way she acted towards me, pointing her fingers at me and being loud for no reason at all. For that reason, I do not recommend this place and I will no longer be purchasing from them.
