We went at 2:45 on the Friday before the 4th of July and had a terrific experience. Basically we had the whole place to ourselves for an hour. Austin S. was such a treat! It's rare to find someone so passionate about his craft. He knows how to mix up some amazing cocktails. For over 25 years I despised Gin, yet he bet me a drink that his gin concoctions would change my mind. He was correct! I'm shocked how much I enjoyed the Laid Back (sans blueberry syrup), I even ordered one to go! The raw oysters were fantastic and the gluten free fried oysters were stellar. Unfortunately, the fries were terribly salty even though I asked for no additional salt...it was the seasoning. The Maine Lobster Roll was tasty, but we didn't think it was worth the $$. I've had Lobster Rolls in Rhode Island and even in San Diego paid about the same, but given substantially more Lobster. We'd definitely go back for Austin's drinks and the oysters!

Phenomenal food, staff, and atmosphere. Pictured is the Lobster Mac, Salmon with wilted Spinach, and the Key Lime Pie! The service was lovely and the huge windows bring in so much light. Very enjoyable and will be back again soon.

Great cocktails and food. Great service. Went during happy hour and got the white fish dip, oysters, and scallop linguine. Fresh ingredients and flavor. Will definitely go again.

just ok. way overpriced. ranch tastes like glue. however, clam chowder was wonderful. staff not trained on menu.

A great spot for seafood lovers and those that enjoy downtown! Open and bright with a fun nautical vibe (and the live music was awesome!) Food and drinks were very good. Service was good too. Party tried the white fish dip (amazing) & oysters. Party then shared seafood boil- the Skipper with added snow crab. Definitely enough for 2-3 people when starting with an app. Wine / cocktails were tasty.Only reason not 5 stars is because they were out of a lot of drink options (every time we tried to order something; it was “out”).

Beacon corner bar is my favorite oyster spot in Grand Rapids! Always the best quality, fresh tasting seafood. Great atmosphere and welcoming vibe. Sit at the bar and hang out with the always friendly and knowledgeable Austin. He mixes a superb cocktail and makes great food suggestions.

Loved Beacon!! It was our first time trying seafood boil and it was an awesome first experience!! Kirk was very helpful in deciding what to get and recommendations. Will be back!!

Service was swift and friendly. We each had a papaya mai tai. Delicious and refreshing! I had a smash burger with fries; my wife had the coconut shrimp. High quality food items, and reasonably priced. We will be back!

Been here a few times for the lobster rolls, which are phenomenal. Went in one night to try a bunch of different items from the menu including a drink called the lily pad, it was amazing. Austin was an excellent bartender and went above and beyond to make my experience incredible!

We had the sea food boil. The food was good.I just wish it included sausage for the price. Our waiter Austin was warm, welcoming, helpful, knowledgeable and funny. He made our date night fun.
