Love to visit "dive" bars. Plenty of parking. Building is right on the corner of the main drag in Grand Haven. Outdoor seating with a beautiful view at the channel and the infamous musical fountain. The food was good but a little small in portion size for the price you pay.It is a fun and relaxing place to hang out!
Packed at 6 pm on Friday night- no surprise ! Only about a 15 minute wait. We shared a table with 2 other couple which was fine- found out how small of a world we live in. Great waitress- Marcy- drinks and food were yummy. Of course we will return.
Haven't been here in years but it still brings back great memories from when I was a kid. And the food is just as good as I remember. I truly hope this place never changes
Good bar but they did stop me from using the “mens” bathroom which is a single stall one person bathroom. They made me wait for the “womens” bathroom to become available even though they are one person bathrooms. I entered the only restroom available when a bartender began frantically knocking on the door and asked me to use the “womens” bathroom. I asked him if he worked here and why since they were single use bathrooms with nothing but a toilet and he said his manager asked him. I complied but I’m still confused.
Took the advice from local. Was told people from all over make a point to stop there and eat. OMG what is wrong with people? Everything was prepared from opening up a can or jar and served. The salsa was from a jar. The taco shells tasted like they came out of an Ole El Paso box, I have no idea what the meat was, but it was, well lets just say yikes. The chimichanga had white country gravy poured on it. Wow. The burrito was I don't even know. Hope your're getting the general idea. Anyway cost me $50 for one bite. Place is crowded because it's a bar with TV. When you drink anything taste good.
Best beef tacos ever and the drinks are always strong. Definitely would recommend! We drive about 2 hours to go here and we go when we can. The staff is great and the food is always good.
Best tacos n drinks around .. we drive 2 hours just to get the tacos .. great bar ..
A West MI landmark! Familiar, friendly, and fantastic. Always consistent and just damn good. Luncheon bean burrito is my personal fav. Both red and green hot sauce? Uh, yes, please!
This place was recommended to me by a local for Mexican. That people come from all over the place for their wet burrito. I'm not sure why. The ground beef was lacking any flavor. The salsa tatsed as if it came from a jar from Walmarts bargain brand. Burrito shell tatsed like it was a week old. Another person had the hard shell tacos, which again tasted like any taco shell you buy at Walmart. Let's not even talk about the chimi.
Wet burrito time!!!!! Absolutely awesome. And you can tie you boat up right out front on the Grand River!!
