Meghan, the bar server had a attitude on the gruff side and didn't follow up to see how the food was after we began eating. The trout was great, however, my fish and chips were horrible, the blue gill was similar to russet potato chips, "no meat" just crunchy skin. The prices here are generally to high, I understand that inflationary pressures are in play, however, there is a threshold when you decide not to go, we likely won't be returning
This place has some of the best food around. To start we had the pulled pork nachos which was enough to share at a table of 6 adults and 2 kids (we reserved ahead of time online and table was ready on time)The alcoholic beverage selections delivered. You could actually taste the alcohol so you know you weren't getting ripped off ?For the main course I chose the fried chicken which was melt in the mouth. The gravy that went with it was very good. The green beans had a great flavor to it...there were no complaints with my meal at all.My friend got the Dill pickle pizza which was entertaining to see on the menu since not many places have it.We didn't have room for dessert since everything was so filling sadly.I think the best part was the cat robot that delivered the takeout food to the front haha. So cute!Staff was also super friendly. When I visit Michigan again I will for sure go back here again.
Pros & cons. 1st time here.Pros: food is great! We shared the pulled pork nachos after we seen another table order it. Portions are huge! that's a bonus! And it’s yummy! I ordered the drink special. I cannot remember the name. It was very good! Botanical vodka & rosemary in it. Great service, cute restaurant.Cons: wow! Prices are crazy’ we also ordered cheese curds. They were good, nothing special, many tiny curds & few good size ones, small portion for $14 especially, because my giant plate of nachos was $14, if you want to compare. My drink was $11 or $12, glass filled of ice, in a short glass so you do not get much at all for the price, mostly ice. I wanted fish & chips but they wanted $29 for cod and fries so it was a hard pass. Not sure if we would return. Food is good, service is good, drinks are good but I think the prices don’t match what you’re getting. I took away 2 stars for being over priced on some food items & drinks that really should not be. I still recommend stopping in, just know the prices of certain items are higher than what you find at similar restaurants.
Overall it was a great experience at a wonderful restaurant. We tried the spinach artichoke dip, I highly recommend it. I loved their take on a Reuben sandwich, it was delicious. The misses had the Bison meatloaf which was creamy, not dry at all, and served with an amazing mushroom sauce. The only "criticism" if you will, and the reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the food was heavy on pepper. Albeit only in the side items. The mashed potatoes definitely had that white pepper zing. We did ask for a replacement on the vegetables of green beans with mushrooms for being overly peppered, which was perfectly accommodated. The Reuben was served with salt and cracked pepper great lakes co. brand chips. They are not seasoned at the restaurant, but still had pepper as a prominent seasoning element. Again, the Paisley Pig is wonderful and I definitely will try to go again in the future. The service was wonderful, the food is definitely worth what you pay for it. The bartender was exceptional at recommending beer.
Walking in its a warm cozy environment.our server Tanner was great and attentive. We ordered an appetizer that was cold in the middle , the staff were very apologetic and remedied it as we sent it back and the second appetizer was great. My burger tasted fresh and very flavorful. I had truffle aioli and smoked blue cheese, soo good. My burger was cooked perfectly to medium donness. Sweet potato fries were great and the whole presentation was well done. The restaurant was clean and we enjoyed eating lunch there id recommend this place , we'll be back.
Friendly attentive staff, appetizers came out quickly, food was all hot and flavorful. I say give the "Sage against the machine" pizza a shot. One of the best things I have ever tasted. Wish I would have snapped a photo of the whole thing! Also have had the pork bbq nachos and they were flavorful, perfectly spicy and chips stayed nice and firm while we shared the dish between 3 of us.
WOW, this place is awesome. The flavors in every bite of food are mind blowing. We had the sage against the machine pizza, Quinoa Power bowl, Ribs, cheesy Grits, and the corn succotash. The drinks were really good as well but the food is amazing. Iggy was a great waiter and helped us make all our choices. Highly recommend this place.
Kobe Steak Dinners for all 3 of us. No problem substituting Asparagus from Brussel sprouts. Pulled Pork Nachos we're excellent. Service by Emily was great. Entire meal was on point!
Such a cool atmosphere, and far more dining space than I thought when I walked in. The bar makes excellent cocktails, definitely worth trying the specials. The group I was with all ordered something different as well as some apps to share. Both courses came out quickly and well made. The cheese curds were better than the ones next door. My burger was phenomenal, next time I'm getting the Reuben though. Can't wait to go back.
They have a good food selection. Their menu has prices between $7 and $60, so a large variety. I thought the place was small, but they have plenty of seating! Nice staff. They also have a robo busser on staff. She was fun to watch tool around to different tables. Good time!
