Nice menu, good service, great ownership. Loved the Prime Rib. The Chicken wings and salad bar is a great deal too.
Went there for the all you can eat shrimp. You have a choice between, coconut, beer battered,deep fried, steamed and chilled shrimp along with 2 side choices. Amazing food and amazing servers makes this a great place to stop just off US31 a few miles south of Grand Haven. Very nice and clean restraunt. The servers are all amazing as well. Even with gas prices they way are, it is a must stop at place to eat!!!!
The food was awesome, the food was reasonably priced, but the restaurant was very tight and loud. We could hardly hear each other talk because of the loud obnoxious group next to us.So, go before/after peak time. All the employees were great too!Definitely a popular place. :-)
First timers. It was awesome and I regret not trying it years ago. If you have the chance get in there! Homemade soups, great appetizers, delicious selection of sandwiches, steaks and seafood with occasional AYCE offerings and and amazing drink selection. Service was some of the best I've received anywhere in years!!! This place does it right! Great atmosphere and reasonable prices.
My daughter and I visited after a soccer game. We ordered an appetizer and 2 sandwiches. Appetizer was very odd in presentation and taste, and they forgot a topping for a sandwich that we paid more for. As we visited after 7 on a Tuesday it wasn’t busy and there were plenty of servers, but service was slow and they only refilled our water when we asked . Overall disappointing, we won’t be back.
We have eaten many times at the Stable Inn but this was the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant. When we got there we were told we would have a 30 minute wait and they gave us a beeper so we went out to our car to wait for there were way too many people inside waiting and our car we can be comfortable and enjoy our music. After waiting in our car for 30 minutes with the beeper not indicating for us to come inside, we came inside to check with them to see if our table was ready or not. We found out that our table was given out to some other party since we did not answer for our name in the restaurant when they called out the wrong name they had taken down for us. They found us another table in the back area and then we waited for our waitress to come. After waiting about 5 minutes watching other groups of people being seated around us getting their drinks and menu orders being taken, I went up to the cashier register and wanted to know why no waitress has come to our table yet after about 10 minutes. Remember we had just waited for over 30 minutes in our car waiting for the device they gave us to light up just to get a table and I was hungry. The waitress said she would follow me back to our table and take our order while the other people that were seated after us had their drinks at their tables and their orders taken. Then we waited over 45 minutes for our food to come to our table while the other people seated after us were enjoying their meals. I guess this is how you are treated if you complain about their service. Even my baked potato was cold from the long wait. Not just that, but when we checked on their website online for their menu in the 30 minutes we were waiting for our table, we found their prices on our bill to be about $2.00 higher than online prices for each special we had ordered that were not shown to us in our restaurant menu and when we questioned them about this they said we had just raised our prices but had not had the time to change these Friday specials online. They would not honor the prices that we showed them online. They not only gave us poor service but charged us extra money for their Friday night specials. This indicated to me that they did not want us to come back again. Rather than complain to the manager again, we paid the bill and left a very disappointed customer. I am not coming back. We had spent nearly over $500 for a graduation party for my daughter at this restaurant a few years ago and the food and service was great. This episode was a terrible experience, but I guess restaurants change so buyer beware going there today.
Did not have a very good experience this trip.. My meal was lobster and prime rib. My prime rib was very thinly cut and very tough.There was a lot of fat on it as well. Our poor waitress was trying so hard to keep everyone happy not only at our table but at multiple others as well. We might be back but will definitely not be back for the prime rib.
Great customer service. My family has ate here many times. Prime rib and lobster tail special is our go too!
Just amazing. Every time the food and service are top notch. Old school kitchen keeping it simple but perfect. The staff enjoys working here. We will be back.
I'm a bit disappointed because I called ahead for a table and they told me 15 minutes. After 45 minutes of waiting at the bar, I went to check and realized that they let 4 groups listed after me go ahead. We finally got a table. The food was delicious but, almost everything is fried. Not many healthy options here.Thank you for the response. Yes, I did specifically ask for a booth but after waiting for 45 minutes they finally sat us at a table, not a booth. It worked out for the best but I don't think that requesting a booth was the delay. Thanks again.
