There was a line out the door, the employees were AMAZING! Food still came quick and was so good. The workers were working so hard but all had smiles! Loved our experience!
This used to be my go-to burger joint in Grand Haven. The last few visits have been disappointing to say the least. They weren’t busy at all when we went there today and I can see why. The food took forever, it was cold, and the buns were hard and dry. Not sure what happened to this place but it certainly has changed. Bunch of kids running it with no adult supervision in sight.
For 20 dollars we just got a pickles and cheese sandwich. The pickles are 2 times as thick as the patty and there were like 6 pickles. The fries, that were so old they weren't even eaten by my child who will eat basically any french fry, were beyond stale from sitting under the light..not even hot. Been coming for years and it's slowly been going downhill...this was the last time we waste money there unfortunately. They upped the prices and dropped some quality.
I love this place! I’ve been coming to Ray’s for over 30 years. Best burger place around. Please don’t ever change anything about Ray’s it worms my hart knowing it’s still serving up great food after all these years!
Simple hamburgers done right. And the fact that they have one of the tastiest selections of handcrafted shakes to go along with them makes this a pleasant and satisfying place to visit
My husband & I stopped by for the first time to Rays drive-in. The food was made fast. Friendly staff and delicious food! Definitely going again!
Best burger this side of the 60's - the beef is legit and seems closer to lean ground chuck you'd fine at the butcher than it does like a fast food patty. Not only is it great food but you can feel good buying from a local small business.Ps try their deep fried pickles.
If you can visit Grand Haven without getting fries from Ray's then you obviously have never had them. Triple cheese, two fries, and a rootbeer shake - as close to heaven as you will find!
Drove by here dozens of times and my grandson had a b ball game at GH Christian at 4 pm 12/2/21. At 3:30 with the horrendous northbound 31 traffic there were 2 customers in the little place out of a time warp. It was time to try Rays. Got a triple cheeseburger w deluxe and olives, fry, and “large” strawberry shake for $10.40. Yea the burger tasted great but the triple was way less than a quarter pounder. The fries were awesome, but the shake was minor league and was supposed to be large but not in my book, steak and shake shakes blow it away. My $11 alpine skillet breakfast this morning at Swan inn on alpine was twice as good and twice as filling. The young “kids” with purple hair and blasting kids noise”music” wanted me out of there asap. Took 10 minutes to make burger standing with the others staring at the stopped traffic for the draw bridge construction that’s been going on forever. Yes the experience of going back to the Jetsons era was neat but i don’t know if I’ll be back. Rendezvous restaurant across street very good and I’ll go there when I take the grandkids to Mulligans Hollow for ski lessons.
Been going to Rays for over 20 years. Good burgers and fries!
