Half of a fried chicken with fries, salad, soup, green beans, and bread for $13 and everything was delicious.Service was incredibly friendly.Restaurant is out of the way but definitely worth the drive.Loved it.
OMG, MY HUSBAND AND I WERE IN THE FLINT AREA ON BUSINESS AND ASKED LOCALS WHERE WE COULD GET SOMETHING TO EAT AND THEY DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!! THIS PACE IS ABSOLUTELY AWESOME , WE ORDERED THE FISH AND CHIPS WITH ONION RINGS INSTEAD OF FRIES AND STEAK SUB AND EVERYTHING WAS FRESH AND HOT PLUS THEY GIVE YOU AN ENORMOUS AMOUNT OF FOOD…. WE HAD LEFTOVERS!!!! WARM AND FRIENDLY SERVICE, WE WILL DEFINITELY BE RETURNING!!!
Let me start by saying that the food is good. We just discovered this place about 2 months ago. Since then, we have visited to dine in or for take out at least 8 times. Every single time we have been friendly and have tipped our waitress 20-25%. We came in this morning and the older woman with the reddish brown hair gestured like she really didn't want our table (I am guessing they take turns on tables like most small restaurants). We sat down, she asked us what we wanted to drink and while she was pouring our coffee I decided against staying. She made me feel very unwelcome and I am still not really sure why. But we won't be going back. We went to Aldi's one street over and enjoyed delicious food and friendly service.
Be honest .... order the hot turkey sandwich very specifically asked if it is processed turkey and real mashed potatoes. Absolutely they insist, get it home fake potatoes out of a box and processed turkey. Would have easily ordered something else. Place has gone south and will not give them anymore of my business.
Ordered ahead for the fried chicken dinner, which comes with choice of potato, soup, vegetable, salad, bread. Husband has an order of fried mushrooms (Portobello's, the size of a small apple), has a lot to take home as there's way to much to eat in one setting. Our server was amazing and on top of her game ! (Picture order menu, chicken dinner and mushrooms with 2 ranch dressing missing 2 mushrooms that had been ate....lol Go get ya some !!!
1st time here and soooo happy we stopped. The prices are amazing for the quality and quantity. The fried chicken dinner was excellent and same for the chicken fried steak. A must try
Dont know what happened here. Hashbrowns weren't cooked, omelet was dry, with a slice of cheese slapped in the middle. Sent it back. Also took 50 mins to receive our order. No drink refills. The waitress was not pleasant. Maybe they was having a bad day because I've never had any complaints about this place before.
It was my first visit. The server was extraordinarily knowledgeable and personable. I ordered a bacon burger and fries with a piece of coconut cream pie. My burger didn't have the great flavor I was hoping for. It was well done. A temperature choice wasn't asked for. My coconut cream pie didn't seem fresh. The crust was soggy, and I dont believe the crust was homemade.
I hear the claim "home cooking" all the time. Then u get there and it's boxed, bagged , canned and frozen. I guess people don't know what that actually is supposed to mean. This is really good, down to earth home style cooking. From the smoker out bake to the homemade coleslaw. They do not disappoint. Meat loaf that's hand made and a regular on the menu. Lots of weeknite favorites u probably had growing up and still eat now. Nothing fancy, just satisfying and good.
Staff was rude. Prices had been increased $2. Food didn't taste good enough for the cost.
