It was my first time, but the place was clean and the staff courteous. I would definitely go back whenever I'm in the Flint area. I tried the thai chicken. As a first try, it wasn't so bad.

I have been enjoying Golden Moon since I was a kid growing up in the Flint area. It was always a treat to have it for dinner because we rarely ate out. It was a requested birthday meal, a celebratory dinner or sometimes just a nice surprise. About 5 years ago I left the Flint area and WOW. I completely took for granted Golden Moon and their food. I love Chinese food and I have eaten at dozens of other Chinese restaurants all over the state and NOTHING compares. I don't say that lightly. At first I thought I was maybe just biased because it's what I was familiar with, but when introducing their food to hesitant friends, but Chinese lovers nonetheless, they instantly agree that it is far superior. Truly setting the bar for all Chinese food, especially their egg rolls. Absolutely amazing. I hope this place stays in business for a lon, long time. 10/10, would recommend!!

To sum it up, my best friend moved out of state a few years ago and anytime she visits, Golden Moon is always our first stop.The egg rolls have no business being as amazing they are. I usually don't like egg rolls, and I think it's because Golden Moon raised my expectations so high. For a good price, I can get an entree that lasts for two meals, so I definitely make sure to order an extra egg roll with my takeout.I remember going here as a little kid and being entranced by the aquarium. It's not as enormous to my adult eyes, but the resident fish still makes me smile.Over the decades, my dining partners and I have made some weird special requests and nobody has ever batted an eye. Fried rice with no onion and extra baby corn? Sure. No MSG? No problem! Unbattered chicken in the sweet and sour chicken? All right. Low spice in the cashew chicken? Coming right up! I will say that our experiment with egg battering tofu for almond boneless "chicken" didn't work out so well, but it was our dumb idea and the chefs were more than willing to try it for us.The staff is so nice and the restaurant is so comfortable. It has a very homey feel, except it's cleaner than my home :-) Honestly, I could just sing the praises of Golden Moon for hours.

Called in an order, it was ready in a timely fashion. Courtesy service as usual, very good. He two meals were succulent and properly cooked. Plenty of plum and soy sauce. Well one.
