Recently had lunch at 501 grill. Good drink selection for beers. Little disappointed they didn’t have any happy hour specials though. The prices are little on the higher side, especially for Flint. A Entree will cost you 18 dollars minimum. The food was ok, i got the catfish on top of cheddar mash potatoes. It looked great but felt a little underwhelming. The fish could used little more flavor. In the end, it seems like an ok place. The saving grace was the service, our waiter was extremely attentive and did a terrific job. Super friendly and very welcoming.

Our server was very nice! The food was alright.Boneless chicken tastes good: crispy and sauce was flavourful.Chipotle fried chicken (pictured): gravy was flavorful, chicken was alright, but it felt like the dish was missing an element.Overall the food was alright but a bit expensive for the portions imo. (Thus the lower rating)

Food is always good. Nice waitress staff and bartenders. One of my favorite go places for lunch or dinner. Not happy with the parking situation, but that's a city of Flint issue.

First time visit one hour before closing. Staff was very welcoming, friendly and efficient. Great menu selection. We ordered glazed walnut dried cherry Bleu cheese salad and it was delicious. Highly recommend.

A cool downtown restaurant with a nice vibe. BUT it didn’t deliver in the food end of it. To start we order the spinach and artichoke dip with pita chips. It was delivered with three dinner rolls, they were out of chips. Would have been nice to know before it was placed on the table. For the main course my first choice, Jalapeño Catfish, I was informed they were out of that too as well as the lamb chops. So back to the menu, the Mrs. ordered the Steak and Onion sandwich, which was dry and flavorless which was surprising due to the amount of onions on it. I had the Yaki Soba Stir Fry. Sadly the dish was very heavy handed with a sauce that seemed out of a can. If it wasn’t it had way too much soy sauce in it. Overall a big disappointment. I’ll try another downtown restaurant next time.

501 bar and grill was a great place to eat for our date night. It was not packed, the food was great, and we loved the drinks. The only downside were the prices. The amount we spent for two people is a “once every few months” kind of thing. Everything was top notch but I would like to see cheaper prices.

The food, drink, and service here were wonderful. The environment was loud at times mostly due to a couple rowdy tables but I would go back in a heartbeat. If your bring friends into town or just stopping on your way through you should definitely consider stopping here.

I’ve been coming here often on different days and hours. I love their Lobster Bisque it could have a little more lobster but the favor was good. I really enjoy coming here because I can have a quick lunch with co-workers and the restaurant is across the street.

Awesome the baked spaghetti Issa must try

Great Vibe in downtown Flint. Customers were socially distant.
