Great food, but the Reuben isn't a normal reuben sadly. They don't grill the sauerkraut (if they do grill it then it is not long enough)And the sauerkraut to meat ratio is 60/40 I'd say. I worked in a deli for years and I have never had a reuben like this. It wasn't bad, just not the greatest. Giving 4 stars because everything else i get from there is really good. The reuben is just lack luster and better ordered from other places.
The staff is friendly and professional. My order is always correct and ready in 10 to 15 minutes. For the first few months my order was always made perfectly. Lately the pizzas have been over cooked. I'm not sure if it's a change is staff or procedure. I'm not the type to complain and I appreciate their service, but I have to drop one star for it.
Once in awhile I get a really good sandwich from them. Most of the time it's just kind of mediocre mainly due to the fact that they never really get my order right. My girlfriend loves their Pizza. They always get her order right not exactly sure why they can't figure out how to get my sandwich right. But they are prompt on delivery and they have some pretty good salads according to my girlfriend. I always order the Cuban sandwich with a few modifications and I always just get the Cuban sandwich made the normal way. I don't know if they just don't do substitutions or that they just don't follow the tickets or what's going on but it's a bit frustrating. I've stopped getting sandwiches from them and just let my girl get her pizza And so and from there and I just make myself something to eat these days. Note that before the pandemic it wasn't really like this. They seem to take a lot more care and pride in their food but ever since the pandemic quality is kind of gone out the window
Excellent value when they have the two whole grinder special. Our grinders tasted amazing and the service was excellent as well.
Four stars because the food and service are great, thank you! But the establishment is pretty dirty. When ordering there was a used mask on the counter. The counter by the drinks and table tops were all sticky and the music was entirely too loud for the size of the dining room.
The extremely polarized reviews here are funny to me. Let's walk through the complaints I see.First, I've worked in food service in the past for many years. I'm currently standing at the counter watching my order be prepared. The kitchen staff are all diligently working at station's preparing orders, dough, and other food items. Everyone is gloved and using proper food handling practices. The floors and work surfaces are all very clean. The tables are all very clean. I don't see dust or random debris anywhere. The bathrooms are clean. The condiments station is clean. The soda machine is clean. I see zero food safety issues or any cleanliness issues. Even the overhead lighting and ductwork appear to have been cleaned recently. The staff were extremely pleasant as always.Are the tables, bathrooms, and some shelving in the kitchen a little dated. Yeah, kinda, but they are still clean and serviceable, and remember this is a local pizza joint, not steaks and wine fine dining. This is exactly the decor I'd expect for a pizza place.Quality of the food. This is really where Mancino's shines. The pizza and grinders are honestly some of the best I've had in decades of travel.My order was prepared very quickly. Do they get behind sometimes. I'm sure they do, every restaurant does. The margins in not-huge-chain restaurants are really thin, so you staff the best you can for the EXPECTED work-load, but sometimes weather, or bad days, or some other external factors change the expected number of orders. In those unavoidable cases, the STAFF who deserve patience, I'm certain do their best.Unfortunately the way reviews work is, many people who never review at all get upset with one instance and jump in to drop a one star, likely after many orders that they didn't remark on at all.I've ordered lots of items lots of times here. We’ve been coming to Michigan for years and this is an absolute must have within a few days of getting here! We do Dine in or take out and have yet to be disappointed!! Love love everything about the Mancino’s grinders in Fenton!
The manager,Robert is the biggest reason we continue to be customers! The last serval months we’ve been disappointed with incorrect orders etc We are understanding of the lack of employees & we are patient..typically we don’t complain & just move on. Recently, we had to complain because one of our grinders were completely wrong & although we were made aware our delivery could definitely be an hour (we live in Linden) it turned into almost 2 hours.. I had to call!!! Robert jumped right in, replacing the entire order(2) grinders that we enjoyed tonight (2days later) at our choice..then he called to let me know he double them & they were on the way!! Who does that?? A great manager/leader does!! He went totally above & beyond & because of that we will definitely remain customers!! Thank you Mancinos for having a leader like Robert!!!
Love thier pizza and the calzones are my favorite!!! Best pizza around hands down.
Okay so I am kind of a high maintenance pizza orderer- as I have a gluten and dairy intolerance. I was super happy to find a place that offers gluten free options and was excited to try this place for the first time. I ordered a gluten free veggie pizza no cheese, add pineapple. The veggie pizza was supposed to have green pepper, onion, olives, tomato, (and then the added pineapple) as I don’t eat cheese, the veggies are kind of the star of the show. There was one tiny green pepper, one tiny onion sliver, no tomatoes whatsoever, and it’s basically just an olive and pineapple pizza.The GF crust was pretty good. I just want them to know that people who have food intolerances have very limited restaurant options. If restaurants do a good job, customers (like myself) will return over and over again.I’m Happy to try this again but this is my only experience with the restaurant and my only way of leaving feedback.I
