This place has really good food, I had the La Marsa feast for a small party. The meat was cooked perfectly, everything else was also good. My only complaint was the bread I did not like the way it was made, kind of chewy and thin. I have ordered Arabic food from other places and their bread is puffed up and awesome, my advice to the owners is to work and perfect their bread because it will bring them more happy customers, with that said I think they still deserve 5 stars. Their place is great.
The baba ghanouj is the best I ever had...extra smoky...yum! Clean, quick, fresh and delicious! Great service! Fresh lemonade is delicious!
Very disappointing. Shish Tawook had virtually no seasoning, tasted so bland. Most authentic mid-eastern places even dive ones have adequate seasoning and decent food quality but not here. Fatoush had lettuce cores and everything had a fishy odor and aftertaste to boot!
We were a group of 8 for lunch. The menu is amazing. So many choices. Our waiters were so great. Very helpful in helping us get exactly what we wanted. Very good service and the food was delicious. Chicken shawarma sandwiches, hummus, Greek salads, moussaka, stuffed grape leaves, special salads--it was a feast.Individual checks no problem. We had a delightful lunch.
Overall good was very good. Portions are large and most people share. My entree wasBig enough for dinner and lunch the next day. We enjoyed the appetizer sampler and the pita was very good. We will be back.
Lady who works the cashier is rude and not very pleasant. The food and the rest of the staff are great.Update: This turned out to be a huge misunderstanding, and this employee took it upon herself to reach out. Amazing customer service & wonderful staff, it was just a situation that was not well read on my part.
This La Marsa at Drake and Grand River is our favorite go to for middle eastern food. Their food is always fresh, hot and delicious! Their staff is always friendly and professional, their dining room is always clean and exudes a relaxing atmosphere. I highly recommend this place!!
The food is so flavorful! The atmosphere is lovely.
I absolutely love Mediterranean food. Everything about this restaurant was amazing. I am from California and was visiting Michigan when I went to this restaurant. In my opinion the lamb was way more tender than I've ever had in California. I heard that they were going to expand to San Francisco soon, I would actually make the trip, make a weekend of it in San Francisco just to be able to eat that food again. The plate that I ordered seemed a little bit high priced until it was placed in front of me, I'm a big eater. This plate had so much food on it that I ended up having to take half of it home. So it was definitely worth it. Flavor, service, value. Can't wait to eat La Marsa Mediterranean food again. Seriously, everyone in the world should try this, I'm sure you will agree with me.
I was shocked by the prices of this establishment!! I don’t mind paying more for food if it’s worth it!! Chicken Gallaba was good but very oily. Price was $17 definitely on the higher side for the quality of food they serve. Beef shawarma plate was $27!!!!!! I had better shawarma plate for $12 in the same area. Beef shawarma was ok and price was ok as well. Please go to another Mediterranean or Lebanese cuisine and save some$$$
