How is this place so busy all the time?! Burger is like a carnival burger... Fries tasted stale and unsalted... BLT was served on wheat (heard another waitress offer choices, would have chose white, duh) and there was NO MAYO on the BLT!!! What the heck! Who wants a BLT on wheat with no mayo?? Price was ok. Servers were very nice atleast. But needless to say I will not return.***Update*** I was at this restaurant, I wasn't hallucinating. There was no mayo on the tables. Your fries are not good. And neither is the attitude of the reply. Good luck.
This a fun local hang out with a good vibe and food to match. Loved all the memorabilia decorating the walls. We all had burgers-they do offer a vegetarian patty available. The meals were tasty, properly prepared, and at a reasonable price. The patio wasn’t opening the chilly day we visited but would be a great sales of fun in warmer days.
On a nice day you can sit outside and dogs are welcome. Service was very good, and we enjoyed the food.
Went here on a Friday night in April. Place was busy. We were sat quickly though. Had 2 Long Islands and a delicious burger. Best tasting Long Islands in the area. Whoever was performing that night was great as well.
Never disappoints...normally I get the rodeo burger with fries. Girlfriend had to one up me and get the melt...so I one upped her and got a rodeo melt! Used our 2 long Island limit to wash it down
It’s literally so good? For such a central location too the food was priced well. Now I see why everyone is always there, it’s because the food is so absolutely delicious.Definitely coming back. I keep thinking about how good my burger was
Have been a number of times and will keep coming back for the great food (love the patty melt), attentive/courteous staff, and the awesome live music on Friday nights. Keep up the great work!
We were looking for a spot for a bite to eat before a MSU basketball game at the Breslin. Our tried and true spots were all on an hour+ wait, we'd never been to the Peanut Barrel but I called and asked if they had room for three. The man on the phone (I assume the owner) was friendly despite their pre-game rush, and told me there were a few tables leaving so we headed over. We were able to park easily in a lot in back of the bar and found three spots at the bar rail as soon as we were inside. They owner and his daughter (our server) were beyond friendly and accommodating, despite the fact that my nine-year-old was taking up one of their bar seats. Burger's and fries were delicious- my dad ordered an olive burger on a friendly patron's recommendation in the parking lot and said it was the best olive burger he's ever had. Thank you to the owner Joe and his lovely daughter for the afternoon hospitality. We will be back the next time we're looking for a great pre-game bite.
Best burgers and Long Islands in Lansing! Try the Olive Burger if you haven't yet. The prices are great too.
Burger was awesome! We had the slawpy burger. It had cheese, cole slaw and thousand island dressing. The wheat bun was delightful. Apparently they get the buns from a local bakery. Wait staff of 1 was extremely efficient and most pleasant.(bar tender did help outt My son goes to msu so we will be stopping into this place again! Chicken sandwich looked awesome too as it was passing by to go to another table.
