Absolutely the best breakfast I’ve ever had in my life.
Thanks to Saddleback this is my new favorite spot on my way to Coscto :) amazing food and staff.
Ellen at Square One did an amazing job with a catering order! A giant salad, sandwiches, chips and amazing cookies! The food was fresh, delicious and a crowd pleaser. I highly recommend using Square One for your next catering order!
Had a great breakfast as a first time customer today. The wake n bacon burrito was very taste, clearly made with fresh ingredients. The side potatoes were cooked perfectly and not full of grill oil. Service was attentive and have a pleasant conversation with the owner operator. Price was well in line with quality and service. Looking forward to trying more items on the menu!
Fantastic food! I sat near the kitchen and saw all the glorious food come out, it all looked great. I ordered biscuits and gravy and it did not disappoint.
The place is a small but big enough to hold large groups if needed. The place reminds me of an old school diner. The service was friendly and seems family run and oriented. It’s a very comfortable place to eat.I had the Arroyo Burrito and it was very good. I also added hash brown (+$2) to the meal. The burrito was large and pretty filling. It was tasty and with plenty of flavor. I added some sausage gravy, which made it pop for me. It did cost me $3 extra for the gravy, which seemed a bit high for the small but adequate amount of gravy. Additionally, the hash brown was not what I expected for a home style restaurant.The other photo is of the Turkey Bacon Cheddar. Which I can’t really comment besides it was said to be good.
Food tasted great - HOWEVER - we had a pretty lackluster experience. We never had the same person come to our table to wait on us during our time there. I think it was a total of 4 different people. We ordered 2 coffees and were brought one. We placed our order after what seemed like forever. When our food showed up, my husband was missing part of his order. We were asked if we wanted hot sauce, salt & pepper, etc., and then the person never came back with it. Someone different did after maybe 5+ minutes, and only because it was clear that the other person forgot and asked someone else to do it for them. Portion size was fairly small for the price. We also were ignored most of the time it seems. We were asked if we wanted a coffee refill only once during our visit, even though a waitress made rounds to every table (besides ours) so see if people wanted refills.Again. The food was really delicious, but we were pretty disappointed with the service.
The food was excellent. Half of us had lunch and half had breakfast. Both were really good. I had the turkey reuben was absolutely fantastic and so was the coleslaw. They also had cherry cheesecake cookies I would recommend those as well. They are so delicious that I purchased all they had. Try Square One Breakfast and Bakery, you will not be disappointed.
Excellent breakfast, handmade muffins, cinnamon rolls and coffee! Great locally owned spot in East Lansing to grab breakfast or lunch ! The herb cream cheese is amazing- can’t wait to come back for more !
Cinnamon roll pancake was toooooooooo sweet. White source in the picture is melted sugar. Even without it, the pancake itself is sticky and extremely sweet. Maybe good for people who love sugar, but definitely not me. Was not able to finish even half of it… I will try something else next time.
