Excellent atmosphere, great food and friendly staff
First time going to hop cat. Phenomenal service. I got to get my own refill after 20 minutes of being there. We got to see our waiter who's eyes were pegged about 3 times in an hour and a half. There were some sweet decorations of broken glass that our kids spotted along with our broken water glass. The food was great after an hour of being there, warm at best!
The BBQ chicken Cobb salad is one of the best salads I’ve had at a restaurant! Our server Jack was the so attentive and kind. He made sure we were well taken care of and answered my questions about the menu. He was such a sweetheart when I had him remake the salad without blue cheese. If I could give this place 10 stars I would! The burger deals after 9 are ?
Being from back west, I've never had the chance to go here until recently. Though, I've heard all about them. It's a small beer bar chain.We visited the East Lansing location near the University and the place was packed.They were good at getting us a table in relatively short order. The waiter, though very nice despite it being super busy, was apologetic. He kept us in the loop that the bar was backed up. So service would take longer than usual. I really appreciate that.Hopcat has 30-45 different beers plus a kitchen. With that many choices available, it's hard not to find something. Just don't expect PBR, Miller & such.Great atmosphere; place was thriving and electric. We had a good time despite longer than normal times. I would definitely go back.
Love HopCat. Food was great. Our party got the buffalo chicken rolls, several different kinds of burgers, and the fish & chips. All were fantastic. Their fries are out of this world good. Beer selection is excellent and it provides a variety to try. Our service was fantastic as well. Being this is in the heart of a college town I didn't know what to expect, but it was top-notch. From the hostess, to our server. All in all had a great experience at this location.
Our server was great, handled our rowdy crowd very well. Disappointing that they were out of so many of the specialty drinks, but we understand the supply chain issues. First visit for brunch and while the menu is small, they are very accommodating to add requests. Food was prepared very well and we all enjoyed it.
First time the wife and I have been to this location.Great selection of tap beers, great food. Service was very friendly. Was not disappointed with anything. Will make this a regular date night spot.
Really great place with an awesome menu and great beer selection. The wait staff were super attentive and answered all of our questions. We will definitely go back next time we visit MSU.
The first time we went to this location, they had a 30 minute wait and asked to take our name and number and said they would call when there was a table ready. 30 minutes had come and gone and still no call so we go back and are seated immediately. I get it, you were busy, things get lost or forgotten. Now the second time we ordered pickup and the food wasn’t ready until 45 minutes after the time it said it would be ready. The food both times was just okay. I do recommend trying the Kalamazoo location though!
