Disappointing. I went in to look around on graduation weekend. All the other area bars were full.This bar had me, 2 bartenders, and a restaurant manager.Floors were sticky. So sticky you could hear each footstep as you pulled your shoe out of the gunk. Bathrooms were filthy, and that’s with nobody in the place. There was a 3 foot by 5 foot puddle of water on the floor in front of the DJ booth against the wall by the bathrooms.I ordered one of the house beers. $5.25 and a plastic cup later, I was told they didn’t have any change in the bar cash drawers. None at all. This was at 4:30 pm on a Thursday, so it’s not like they had just opened. Took about 10 minutes for the manager to get a cash drawer for the bartender.Gross, sloppy practices, and I surely won’t be back.
Had a great server/hostest. Yahan I believe her name was. Who is Cuban native. She takes pride in her work and Make it to where we will return again soon. Had drinks and boneless wings which were excellent
Phone got stolen here, when I went to ask the bouncer Jose if he could help he kicked me out and started pushing me around and talking trash. Really foul place, with a foul bouncer to match.
Love coming on Wednesday lunch. Bartender is always very friendly and talkative. Great lunch spot
Extremely expensive AND watered down drinks. You can tell bouncer is bitter because he was extremely rude. Jose I think? By the time I even got in, paid way too much for a poor quality drink and was surrounded by faulty DJ’s and a sticky floor. On top of the former, owners deny the existence of covid— extreme conservative conspiracists, do not recommend supporting them as not only is their business faulty, but so are their morals.
If I could give this 0 stars, I would. I’ve been to Harper’s hundreds of times, and as an alum I know what to expect. Hopped over to Harper’s over the weekend after the Graduate bar and came to find the bathrooms flooded. Toilet paper and dirty water covered the womens bathroom, some stalls past your ankles. The smell was horrendous. Plumbing issues happen though, and I get that. I’ve never seen it there, but sometimes it happens. I asked to speak to a manager to bring it to their attention and I have never seen worse service. The girl that approached me immediately had an attitude, and when I told her of the sewage and flooding, her response was “it’s a college bar, what do you expect?” With a snappy, rude tone. Appalled, I told her I was shocked they wouldn’t address it especially considering they made national headlines for unsanitary practices and were shut down for months over it. I’d think they’d want to work on their reputation and address toilet paper and sewage flooding. Her response was “what’re you going to do about it? if you don’t like it then you can leave.”I understand staffing shortages, plumbing issues and the recklessness drunk people bring. But to treat a customer like that and neglect cleanliness of bathrooms and tell someone to leave is despicable. That is no manager and I’d be ashamed to have someone like that representing my business.
Stay away from this place, went here last night Feb 18, 2022, as soon as I was walking in they had 4-5 bounce on one guy carrying him while throwing punches at him the whole time. Dude was unable to defend himself. Worst part was some short little midget looking bouncer started to threaten a little girl telling her “ she would be next like the other guy if she didn’t shut her mouth. “ This place should be shut down and file multiple lawsuits. Everyone of them bouncers there are nothing but cowards and little [email protected] One on one they couldn’t hold up against a middle school kid.
The harpers staff is possibly the worst in the world. I understand that college bars are hard to deal with but these people are awful!!!! One of our friends lost her phone and they would not let us in to find it. They were VERY rude. I am very upset about how they handled the situation. VERY disgraceful!!!!!
Hangout for low lifes , attracts a real atrocious crowd. I went one night and left fearing for my life. They will make any bev non alcoholic though which is a plus - enjoyed many a piña colada’s within those tender, disturbed walls
The females who were working were incredibly rude for no reason. Thinkin they are so much better than everyone else just bc they work at a college bar lol like get a life and grow up
