Not a very clean place. The menus were crusted shut and salt/pepper shakers/etc were filmy on the outside. Our waitress was really nice but not super attentive. We had to remind her a few times about refills and toast. They have these STRAWBERRY CHEESECAKE hush puppies and they are to die for. Just like fair food. Very sugary/sweet. Coffee was hot and the food was surprisingly good, and the omelet reheated nicely for lunch.
Our waitress was a sweetheart that was clearly trying her best. Apparently the cook walk in the middle of making my order not her fault. She apologized multiple times and was understandably stressed out. I hope the cook gets fired.
My wife and I have been patrons of this Denny's since our days at Michigan State in the early 70's.The staff is very friendly and they hustle to get you served quickly. The food is always reliably good and there is usually no trouble getting a table or a booth. They, as most restauranteurs, are having trouble finding help and that can degrade the service we had come to expect, but that cannot be held against those who were there and doing their best to serve. However, the driveway and parking lot looks like main street in Kiev. It is long past the need for general maintenance and in need of major repair or replacement. Parking is best on the East side of the building; avoid the front if at all possible.
Waited 40 minutes after ordering before finally leaving without even receiving our appetizer. Was not super busy and I’m pretty sure our waitress didn’t even put in our order. We had seen at least 3-4 other good size tables receive their food while waiting for ours.
Watched my food sit in the window for 30 minutes and the waitress touch our food with her bare hands. Disgusting & horrible service
First thing I had to do when sitting down at the booth was wiping down the crumbs off from the seats from the table being wiped, I had a great service from the new server, and ordered fried steak and cheese cake at the end of my meal, The cheesecake was still kind of frozen. It was weird because I was the only one at the time sitting at the table. I have been going here to this restaurant for decades and wish it would keep up the standards I remember it keeping. Ordering out for me has always had something wrong for the past three orders, missing pancakes or ordering on Uber eats gravy on the side than there is gravy on it... Just not worth it to me for the value I'm paying for anymore.
truly a rough experience in every aspect. blamed it on lack of staff but there weren't ever more than 3 tables yet it still took over 2 hours to get all our food. the manager did comp our meal but was not the kindest blew off my partner, then snapped at me and there 1500 excuses as to why it was awful. I do not recommend at least till they figure out their issues.
Went here for breakfast on a Sunday morning. We were a bigger group (9) so we did go knowing what comes with that. They were able to seat us right away but that was pretty much where the good experience ended. Our waitress got our drink order and brought them to us and took our order. She never brought or offered refills at any point after that. It took over 45 minutes to get our food and all of it was cold or you could tell it had just been sitting under the heat lamp. 2 meals we asked to have re made due to how bad they were. When they were brought to the table they were still cold some how. It then took us going up to the registers for them to finally get us our check because our waitress had disappeared. We were completely polite to her about the food because that isn't on her. That's on the kitchen staff. It was just an overall bad experience. I definitely wouldn't recommend coming back to this location.
Usually pretty good. That particular Sunday service was terrible. Brought the. wife's pancakes out after we were done eating with no syrup or butter. Took 3 trys to get a coffee refill. Manager wouldn't come out to talk to us. Won't be going back soon.
So to be honest this really would have been a 2 start review if it wasn't for the manager. The waitress didn't seem to really care much about the customers or checking their orders. After we put in our order and waited 20 minutes she came over and told us they were out of something for what we ordered (ok, but why did it take 20 minutes to say something?), then magically they did have it and our food showed up. But it had the wrong chicken (fried not grilled) and ice cold Alfredo sauce on top of the hot chicken. The waitress literally threw the plate down and walked away.So I obviously noticed the ice cold Alfredo when I was clearing it off the chicken to see if it was actually grilled. This is when the very nice manager (I wish I could remember her name) came over and because she seen we weren't eating our food and trying to get the attention of our waitress (she was the only waitress wishing, but only had two other tables and was sitting playing on her phone and not looking up at any of her tables). After the manager came over and I mentioned the issue with the alfredo sauce, she took it back and had it remade. She explained the kitchen staff were all new and learning. In the end the food was average Denny's food (so average mediocre). Service was subpar (and that's being generous). Kitchen staff leaving me desiring more attention to their work. Management was great in saving customer service, but could be better in the actual management of the restaurant (if they had been watching/training their kitchen staff closer all these issues could've been prevented).
