They messed up my order twice, and one of our pita breads was visibly moldy. I will not eat here again.
Great pizza and pizza by the slice. Small place tucked away at the edge of MSU is a must visit. I haven't tried the items their cooler but they look fabulous.
This place must have the absolute greatest tuna sub in the country! I first tried it in 1974 and have ordered it on every visit since. And turned on many friends to it as well. Rave reviews!
Bell's Pizza is a unique tasting pizza sold by the slice or by the pie. The cheese, crust, and sauce are an amazing combo of ingredients. This is a non- franchise, sole proprietor, family owned old mainstay restaurant with deli style dining tables and chairs in an all glass dining room on the front two sides where one orders up front and then takes a seat. Great subs! Salads, and many Greek favorites are under refrigerated glass case to take out immediately. Friendly owner and staff. The owner is usually there to insure his food is of high quality. Free parking. Near downtown East Lansing. Delivery. I went there in late 70's when I was at MSU as a student, stayed in the area to raise my family and work and have patronized Bell's ever since, frequently. Go there. You will not be disappointed. If you want a certain by the slice pizza, within reason for ingredients and they are not mega busy, chances are they with make it for you.. just that kinda place. Owner checks with patrons... "So food good?"
Bells Greek Pizza is an East Lansing staple, having served pizza, salads, and Greek specialties to MSU students and families for decades. Pizza by the slice is their specialty. We've been coming here literally since our days as students at MSU, a lot of years ago. Their pizza is among the best I've ever tasted, and their salads are very fresh, and large enough to have leftovers for lunch the next day. The staff are friendly and fast. There is literally nothing bad to be said about Bells. If you haven't tried their pizza yet, you're in for a treat.
Let me just state first and foremost that the young blond man wearing a cross necklace, who took my order was as sweet as pie. Very pleasant disposition. As for the food, I ordered a veggie grinder & baklava. My bread was over toasted & extremely crunchy. There were so many onions on it that it overpowered the taste of anything else. I had to remove quite a bit. Cheese was almost non existent which made for a super dry eat combined with the over toasted bread. The baklava had that god awful refrigerator taste. It was trashed after 1 bite.
The tuna grinder is great!
Really great service, friendly staff, and they're open late at night (which is supposed to be normal for a college town but it isn't), we love the $1 Wednesday deal, been coming here for 5 years , before we moved out if town, but when we're back in town we will forsure come back again. The Teramisu is very good also, they changed it up recently and that on is also pretty good
Is the staff perpetually stoned? I can't say for certain, but as someone who spent a number of years perpetually stoned, there's a familiar vibe coming from the kitchen. Food is good, when you get the thing you ordered, which is a concern at times. Perfect place if you're 1000% schwifty and just need calories in your face.ETA: Come to think of it, they're always slammed when I'm there, so it's a little unfair if me to knock the staff for mistakes. Plus, the chicken shawarma wrap is too good!
Great food, as always! The quality of experience is just as good as it was 38 years ago!
