Don't order off the menu. Guess if you're visiting your kids who decided to buy in the "new Detroit" this is for you. This is what gentrification looks & feels like. You'd think better attitude twds folks from the other neighborhoods, if you see them. It is what it is.Oh & the businesses definitely have "us" working. Uh, yeah
They have very good cocktails and have a very convenient location if your visiting west village. Its nice in the summer when you can sit outside. The seating inside is awful however. The bar stools are bolted to the floor at an awkward distance to the bar and if you find yourself sitting there ordering a few drinks for a while they will cut circulation off to your feet since they have no padding and are metal and concave shapped. They host great pop ups, and there is almost always a line out the door. In the summer you can eat outside, don't bother trying to eat inside, in the cold months its terrible. There are soooo many people it can smell a little like a gym, and there is only a few places to sit. They are always occupied, and if you get a spot you get to eat your food out of your lap because there are maybe 3 tables that are about 2 ft in diameter and are the same height as the ledge you sit on so you have to awkardly bend way over to eat. The layout is basically a standing room with a bar. Its not a good place for regulars. Good drink quality, and fantastic bartenders.
Intimate, casual, amazing staff. A hidden gem to make your regular spot. And the custard.... bomb dignity.
This is such a cool neighborhood bar to grab a drink and maybe some food from their ever rotating selection of local pop-ups.
Love the drinks, service and neighborhood bar feel. Very welcoming and love the different food pop ups available there and always look forward to Huddle with their custard ice cream.

Cute spot that I popped into while waiting for a table at the Italian place next door. The drinks were really good, reasonably priced for a cocktail bar, and the ambiance was cozy. I definitely plan on coming back!

This is a great little neighborhood bar tucked into a section of the city that was nearly barren just a few years ago. The cocktails are inventive and delicious. They also carry a nice selection of ciders and beers that I haven't seen in most other places.One of the most distinguishing features of the venue is that they welcome local culinary artisans whom they feature. I went to sample the menu of Fried Chicken and Caviar. I am in love with the duck nuggets. And the chicken fried rice topped with a fried duck egg was eye-opening.I'd say Two Birds is a nice date spot, whether it's your first date or you have to get a sitter so you can go on your one hundred and first date.
