I have LOVED Topars Pickles since 1965. The taste was TRUE NATURAL BARREL Flavor was the signature draw. Yeah, they might have lacked the " snap " some folks seek. BUT, they had the taste I loved as a child, digging a Pickle our of a Barrel Curred Pickle in the old fashion General Store. Topar folks, YOU HAVE BLOWN IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! New packaging, New Taste....NOT!!! Yeah, you put the " snap " in the heart the TASTE IS CHEAPENED!!!!!!!!.
What happened to Topor’s pickles? They must have done some cost cutting when they switched to the plastic bottles because the great flavor is gone. I had to throw away the last jar I bought?
I found the pickles to be a little gritty. That’s a total turn for me. It’s like eating eggs with shells in them. I don’t know if anyone else has had this experience. I really hope it’s isolated, not sure.
Came to SouthEast MI for my internship by chance... and these are THE BEST pickles imo. Move over Mt Olive, Clausen, and McClure's. Topor's is where it's AT!Takes me back to times at fairs where they had pickle stands.. my fave! But no pickles I've gotten in stores had that iconic taste.. until now! So happy I discovered these naturally fermented gems. My #1 go-to pickle (at least while I'm here). I wish they had them in more stores! ???
I only eat the natural barrel topors, as the new dill style have polysorbate 80 like claussen, which gives me a headache.Unfortunately they don't come in glass jars anymore and whoever designed the new safety lid needs to be fired.
Used to be an excellent product, came in glass bottles. Now the pickles taste like the bottle they come in, cheap plastic. It's a shame, have to find a good pickle...
Exceptional pickels. Great taste and crunch. Their other products are delish too !
Looking for them at Westborn mkt .. why aren't they there
Best pickles period ! Mcclure's who ?
The very best pickles. I have one everyday.
