My friend and I were excited to try some vegan items, but we waited an hour and a half before deciding to leave without having received any food. We decided this after a table seated 10 minutes after us were given their food and even finished eating said meal. Would’ve appreciated if we were given any kind of updates, such as why it was taking so long, what the ETA was, anything at all. Nope, just left their while our server avoided our table. Weirdly undignified way to be treated at a restaurant I had high hopes for. Very disappointing.
First time Alert! The staff was Great! The burger was over cooked But Good, the fries was the BEST Part! I'll literally go back just for the Fries..
It's a bar of clarity. Gives a lot of peace of mind amidst the bustling city. If you want to make clear decisions or disconnect, go to the bar and enjoy the food and drinks. 10/10 would recommend.
Had a drink here. Nice place, but too sports orientated for me. Heard they have a band upstairs, maybe catch that sometime. Nice staff working here. Quick. Pleasant and responsive. Great place to meet. Park at Greektown Casino and walk over is easiest.
Amazing vegan food. Nice atmosphere. They have butler's in the bathrooms. Nice atmosphere. Kinda rough neighborhood so don't leave your valuables in the car.
Nice dive bar, but they need someone to monitor there security and door workers. They escalate situations with their tough guy attitudes. I have been to this place 4 times in my life, and twice had issues with their security. This time, one security guard was cool, but the doorman was a complete a hole. He totally disregarded what the security guard told him, and told me "get to the back of the line, and if you dont know I like what I said, do something then". As a 40 year old, I was mature enough to just walk away and spend my money elsewhere. Had I been in my 20's, I would have probably gladly obliged and at least knocked the little fella out. So basically, the security needs to watch the news about escalating situations, because there are some people out here that will easily act on threats have this place on the news
I found The Old Shillelagh to be a dark, dingy, dive bar......Also, the decor is "Irish", but there was very little on the menu that was Irish. There was no Irish music playing (instead, it was entirely American hard rock). The beer was not cold, and I had the WORST Bloody Mary that I have ever had. .... Dissapointing.
This place is a hotspot in Greektown. It is always a fun time and there always seems to be action going on here. The building itself is very old, like most are in this part of Detroit. It is 3 floors, with different action going on each floor. On the top floor, there is a balcony for smokers. There is also a spot to sit outside on the bottom floor. There is music, dancing, and of course, drinking. There never seems to be a dull moment here. I have never had their food, but most of the popularity of this place is from the atmosphere anyways.Overall, this is one of the hottest bars Downtown.
A crunchy bar in the heart of the city. 3 floors, including the rooftop patio which is heated and enclosed in the winter months. A mix of younger and older people, and good drinks. Not the cleanest place in the world, but usually has great music and good eats. If you plan to head down at night, expect a cover. It's never really completely packed unless there's a holiday or a game downtown.
Loved this place! Vegan tenders with vegan ranch and vegan mushroom Gouda burger. Best bar food around for vegans!
