Perfect for date night <

Our reservations were for 1pm. After a short wait, we were seated. Our waiter Gary brought us water and then disappeared. When he came back he was very rude. He interrupted our conversation by saying “let’s get this going” as an indication that he was ready for our order. We had questions regarding the menu which he answered very rudely. I ordered the Motown classic, he left the table without allowing me to choose between grits and potatoes. He stated this was no choice only potatoes. The menu clearly stated something different. After a wait our food came, but my meal was missing toast. I was told that toast wasn’t included, again different from what the menu indicated. This is only one example of the poor service received. 20% was added automatically to our bill. If I had a choice, the tip would definitely have been less. While the food was good, the experience was ruined by the sour mood of our waiter Gary. Sadly that was my first and last time dining at Motown Bistro.

This is a great place. A diamond in the rough. I didn't prefer what was going on outside however dining inside was a wonderful experience. Top notch service. Very satisfied.

Horrible wait staff!! Sat for 20 minutes before getting our order taken. Food took forever to come out and it was very subpar, especially to be paying that much money for it! My waiter wrote his own tip on my receipt and when I called to talk to the manager the next day she avoided the whole situation and never resolved it!! Vey unprofessional!! I wouldn’t recommend anyone to come here. I’m never coming here again smh

The greeting was very pleasant our waitress was well mannered and friendly. She also was polite patient and professional. The food was amazing I couldn't decide what I wanted due to all the great selections. I got the waffle and Chicken and ot was delicious. I will be back to try everything else. Thank you for your services

Food was good, service wasn’t, had to wait too long for our server to get our drinks and he didn’t check on us at all without us calling him over. Willie was his name

Sherri who took care of us.struck the right balance of professionalism & humor, providing suggestions without being overbearing. The food was better than expected—I’ve never had a shrimp & lobster omelette as savory as this one, and I couldn’t help but steal some of my wife’s catfish & grits. Plus, surrounded by the sights & sounds of Eastern Market on a beautiful day imbued our time there with a dynamism lacking in other restaurants.

This place was great! The food was delicious and the service was excellent. They were out of a few things, but our waitress told us upfront, and offered some great alternatives. Would definitely come back. The stuffed salmon was delicious!

Fathers day

Only there twice and each time the food was fresh and scrumptious
