The food was great. The waitress took her precious time bringing things back to the table and some items never arrived like birria sauce, jalapeños and my sons lemonade. The place was clean and the staff was welcoming. Only wish that I didn't have to get up to find my waitress for things, she could have checked on us just a little bit more.
The Absolute best Mexican restaurant around in Detroit. You truly feel everyone here working going out of their way to feed the community. The food here is cooked to perfect whether you’re getting the tacos or some soup, you can’t order wrong here. They make fresh juice and the drinks overall we’re amazing. We had their Queso as an app and it was great as well as their salsa dip and chips that you automatically get. I usually get seated here fast and food comes in a decent amount of time. you might have to flag down your waiter sometimes but other than that I love coming here.
The staff are very friendly and food was good. Great portions. My favorite was the oysters! Yum!
An authentic Mexican restaurant with a very Nostalgic feel. We came for the barilla tacos which can be hit or miss. When seated you are given complimentary chips with 3 different delicious salsas to dip. A nice place to get away in a corner booth watching Spanish television. The drinks look excellent!

Since our favorite Mexican restaurant closed due to the pandemic, my husband and I have been searching for a local place with all of our traditional favorites. My husband read a glowing online review of this restaurant so we figured we would give it a try. What a hidden gem of an eatery. There is ample parking on the side of the building. We went on Tuesday, 1/25/22 at 5 PM, and were seated immediately because it's seat yourself. Our server, Juan, was at our table within a few minutes with menus, chips and salsa. There were very few chips in the basket, so we had to ask for more.My husband ordered the California burrito dinner and a Bud Light, and I ordered the chicken enchilada dinner. Since it was our first time there, we didn't quite understand what all of our choices were. We asked Juan, who adeptly explained our choices, but being non-Hispanic speaking, we didn't know what he was talking about, so we had to ask a lot of questions to get to some understanding of what the terms he used meant. He was very patient with us.The food came to our table within a reasonable amount of time, maybe 6-8 minutes. Everything was piping hot and very fresh. The enchilada dinner comes with three nicely sized enchiladas, rice, beans, sour cream, and lettuce, tomato and sliced onion on the side. I ordered the enchiladas with red sauce, which was bright and fresh tasting and there was cheese on them as well. Everything was subtly spiced and delicious. My husband enjoyed his burrito immensely, and indicated it was very flavorful with nicely spiced chunks of steak. We were given a choice of refried beans or whole pinto beans. My husband ordered the refried and I got the whole beans. I have to positively RAVE about the whole beans. They were flavored with chili, some kind of pork, which seemed like bacon to me, and had a subtle heat to them. The rice was very good as well. When we arrived at 5 PM there were very few people in the restaurant, but we figured that is probably normal for 5 PM on a Tuesday. By the time we left at 6 PM, the place was PACKED. We know why: this is the real deal. We've found our new Mexican food home.
We stopped in, as lifelong natives to the area, after seeking a new restaurant because I get the impression that some of the long-time cooks at other well known restaurants are no longer with those establishments. Plus, the taste and service has seemed to decline. We were pleasantly surprised and very pleased with the menu and flavors at Nacimiento! Competitively priced. The tenderness and tastiness will bring us back.Thank you for an enjoyable afternoon.
Love it ? All the food is fabulous. The best taco’s (lomo & al pastor) I’ve had anywhere down here in a restaurant in SW. My wife and son say same for the chicken tacos. I’m talking so good you will rock back and forth in your seat. Didn’t find this place till about 3 years ago and come here about twice a month for dine in & carry out. They always seem to be fully staffed. When I’ve been on Sunday nights they are busy, food still comes out fast. This is my go to for ?? over 30 minutes drive for me & passing many good restaurants and trucks along the way. ??
